Supporting others against your own unit
I'll be circumspect about the description, for obvious reasons (game's ongoing, in case it wasn't sufficiently obvious). See below.

Autocomplete public press
Basically the idea is to provide you with a centre so we can work together. The only press is public commitment to attack Italy. Every sentence may be in Gascony and the other games. The rest is autocompleted to find out what kind of player is required.

"Trump pulls out" thread innuendo masked as title
The thread regarding trump leaving the Paris accords. Could be viewed very much as a slighted innuendo of Trumps past. He has been accused of some sketchy things. Discuss.

Rap and Hip Hop promote better capitalist values than Country or Rock
Rims, Gold Chains, Fancy Cars, Implants, Gold Teeth, Swimming Pools, Palm Trees, Mansions, "Ive made it culture", "Look at me". Are values pure to American capitalism and more purely espouse what America is.

Theory about ending homelessness/panhandling
Would homelessness end entirely if people stopped giving homeless money? The Mayor of Omaha, Nebraska has advised citizens to stop giving panhandlers money as they are on the rise. Here they wait by the interstate exit off ramps with signs.is ignoring them a moral decision?

Is Trump secretly movong left of center?
Just noting that between the promise to send a manned mission to mars which will cost a fortune, and the recent hint that the US may stay tye course with Paris Climate accords; is Trump actually going left?

Also noting that the wall, ending sanctuary cities, ending Nafta. Pretty much none of his radical conservative campaign promises have been aggressively pursued by him. His most aggressive moments were the attempts to ban muslims and putting firward a huge tax cut ... but whats the point of a giant tax cut if its all being re-allocated for a mars mission lo

Both of these things are just continuations of the status quo; I think he is realizing that it is difficult to govern and he might not be able to shake things up as much as he wanted.

Manned mission to mars is good for his ego as well.

Leaving the Paris climate accords would be a slap in the face to all of our European allies. I think perhaps he had a deer in the headlights "oh shit" moment when he realized they all believe in global warming.

I dont quite get how you can gut the EPA but want to go to Mars though.

I think that during the campaign he said shit to get himself elected, probably can't even remember half of it now.

Weak EPA = good for business
Mars mission = good for business
brainbomb (474 D)

Youll have to explain to me how a weak EPA is good for business when you consider air quality, soil regulations, water regulations. Basically if all your employees develop breathing problems from shit quality environmental conditions the employer saves money sure but overall his workforce suffers. Have you seen Beijing? You have to squint to see it. Those aint clouds bro

Trump suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder based on how he can reverse his position within a meeting. He probably doesn't remember most of his positions on these things.

This is a guy who talks tough on terrorism and budgets to gut federal funding to defend against it.

Its strange but thats what I like about him. The fact he needs to be reminded what Republican positions are on things amuses me. If hes on hos own and meets a charismatic foreign leader who plays golf with him they could probably convince him getting rid of nuclear weapons is a great idea lol
diplomat61 (283 D)

Weak EPA = less regulation = lower costs
I* don't see workforce as a problem: t takes a while for them to develop chronic illness & unemployment is high
Yes, I have seen Beijing (I worked in China for two years). Despite the conditions they seem to find enough workers.

*well, I do see it as a problem, but irresponsible business owners might not.

Need tax cuts for job creators, like yesterday. The rich need an incentive to create jobs. The poor need to be weaned off of welfare and lift themselves up by their bootstraps -- well, as soon as they can afford bootstraps. Fuck it, let the poor eat cake.

The US tried cutting taxes on the rich to have them create jobs in the failed Trickle Down Theory under Reagan. The rich kept their money and barely created any new jobs including those to create items for the rich.

Give the money to the poor because they are going to spend it back into the economy instead of saving it. That will create jobs because of consumer demand.

As to EPA cuts, well with no healthcare they won't live to retirement so Social Security will have less people to pay. On the other hand we go back to the sick flooding the emergency rooms because the federal government requires them to be treated even without health insurances. So hospitals can only collect from the state for uninsured care until those funds are gone. We are just shifting costs to the states.

And you can't go to mars, it's a Chinese hoax

Trickle up works more effectively than trickle down, the subsidised spending is spread across a wider base ie a million people spending what proportion of an extra thousand dollars a year vs the proportion of an extra million dollars a year spent by a thousand people.

Trickle up doesn't do anything more than trickle down. Both are based on flawed economic thinking. It's just more government manipulation that causes distortions, malinvestment, and bubbles.
