You did very well rokakoma. A well deserved win. I wish that my opponents had tried a little harder to work with me to stop you in the endgame though.

Thx Lando, I couldn't beleive what was happening on the map, I didn't think I can pull it off.
But I have to be greatful for germany, austria, and especially england.

No worries. I tried to help England face you, but ...

My short insights.

I got russia, I wasn't happy with that, but luckily germany let me into sweden, and england started south, so I was safe north.
Especially I had room to expand.

On south, turkey was not so agressive on me, but austria was doing completely crazy. Attacking me, attacking turkey, instead of holdin a stable line, and most of all attacking italy, which is always a suicide with austria. (and for italy)

Anyway, after taking norway, I was lucky to hold it, and the german ship was doing sg. crazy as well, but leaving denark empty, was a gift. From that on, I knew germany is mine.

England was still occupied with his efforts against france, so I had nothing to worry, just turkey, whom I really took care. It was the most important for me. I was ordering my ship to attack black sea, bulg, or go back to sevastpol, so I could have an army in rumania, but at the end I always changed my mind, and just held it.

After austria's CD I got a little bit worried, turkey will benefit, but for some reason he didn't. I could get vienna for free, from that on, it wasn't a big deal at all to finish.

The biggest than is england's, I couldn't understand why he didn't turn on me at all. I was trying to help him against france, who seemed a bit more reasonable, but I didn't have to :)

All in all, I think I was lucky about the chaos going on everywhere. No-one was cooperating at all, and it was perfect for me.

1901: unsure what to expect as this is my first Gunboat on the Classic map. I was unsure of England’s plans, so I went for Spain to get the Build. Unfortunately, this hurt me in the long run. Germany’s opening was very interesting.
1902: Offered peace to Germany and tried to position myself to retake Brest. Germany appears hostile, and begins his assault. At this point, England has not impressed me very much with his play, losing his Scandinavian Country, and focusing solely on me. Neither Germany nor England had put up much of a fight against Russia at this point. I was somewhat surprised by Italy’s weak attempt to attack Turkey. But it was not too big of a deal, as the east was stale at the time. Germany did not try to guard his home SC in Berlin, which worried me greatly as did his move to GoB
1903: This year saw me in the position to surge forward against England, but I made what I consider a mistake on my move to MAO with support and not getting a North Coast Spain. I thought Turkey had a chance to stop Russia at this point in the South. Germany loses Denmark without a fight :(
1904: The SC Fleet hurt me here, and I then outthought myself by moving MAO instead of Portugal. However I do retake Brest, and Have a decent amount of SCs and that silly English fleet stopped up. Kiel is taken without a fight, and I realize Russia is a serious threat and I tried to get England to help out against him. Turkey got knocked back a few SCs this year, with Russia rebounding in the south as both Italy and Austria attacked Turkey. And Italy stabs Austria for a quick SC
1905: Take Spain, and lose Belgium for a bit. Still not working well with England. I probably should have supported Holland, but was preoccupied with myself. Turkey appears in the Tyrrhenian sea and does not focus on his northerly neighbor. England then builds a random army in Edinburgh and I question his sanity (again). The year ends in sadness as Germany and Austria are now both CD
1906: This year I completely lay off of England, but he goes and becomes a crazy person. The first half of the year, I was pleased with his attacks on Russia, but his moves to NAO, LIV, and two holds (not even support holds mind you), and I was livid. I stopped Russia in Munich twice, and then pulled Holland out of my butt. Turkey scrambles against both Russia and Italy, while Italy pretends the kids are alright (the who reference) by not doing any moves that hinder Russian advances. My move to Western Med and EC were defensive and were intended to help fight off Russia in the coming seasons. My army build hurt me.
1907: Italy attacks Me and I was shocked. My move to Piedmont was meant to help Italy against Russia, but that never panned out. Russia makes a good use of supports to prevent Turkey’s self bounce. England takes Brest, and I knew it was over. From there I did whatever I could.
All in All: Russia played well, but England threw him the game, as did Germany’s incompetence in defending home SCs. Not surprising when together they have twenty two games. Congrats Russia!

France - why did you move units south against me?

gg - Felt I had to 'try' all 3 neighbours,but didn't work, Russia did a nice N. campaign.

Lando- Western med was defensive move, and I was going to send Piedmont to Tyrolia to help stop Russia, but you were hostile to my fleet, so i moved my army to Tuscany.
