Imho, you shouldn't have attacked Turkey with italy at your back, or with at least Russia help. You had an angry Italy, and then you alienated the two other people next to you.

I, personally, would have supported Russia as soon as I saw Italy move into Tyrolia, clearly marking a friendship, and then focused on italy.

Comments about the game could influence players actions in-game. It is a faux pas to discuss even standard games, but with Gunboats especially it very important to keep silent until it is over. It is a live game and it will be finished in a couple of hours. I suggest you wait until then before asking for feedback. It won't be long.

But really, to talk about an ongoing anonymous gunboat game is completely, absolutely forbidden, not allowed, and also not permitted.

Ah well: I don't think that attacking Turkey was the worst move you could have done. But attacking Russia in the fall. Oh god. You left your self completely exposed to Italy and antagonized the only power you hadn't pissed off yet.

Thanks all, I have to say the CD from russia had almost not an effect on me, i was 4 to 2 superior to russian forces up north, the rest of the russian territory got grabbed by italy/turkey, and i was not interested in it anyway, i wouldn't be able to defend it.
I guess i was lucky in having the other players not making an alliance against me.
Germany played very well, got stabbed at the right time, and he did his best to resist. Once he got no help from the others, he just ran for his life, which is fair and adequate once the outcome is clear and unavoidable.

Pretty sure he had help from France if he'd held up a resistance might have turned out different. I'll admit though that Italy and Turkey could have worked at actually helping him out.

Honestly, as soon as you stabbed him (pretty much) he started taking Frances last centers and ran for Italy.

Yes, Italy and Turkey should've helped him. But, then again, they didn't really have alot of time before He came south.

No effect? You ended up with StP, Warsaw & Moscow, and had Scandinavia quickly under your heel, since Germany did nothing to defend it early on and even less once the game progressed. Barak had absolutely no interest in preventing your rapid expansion early in the game. No 'help' could have been offered anyway.

Barak and me were allies, so yes, he had no interest in preventing my expansion.
As i said, i was 4 to 2 taking Stp, and going south i had 4 fleets and 3 tanks. And Russia left when i was taking warsaw, no sooner than that, so i would say No, his leaving was not a great deal to my strategy. Moscow and Warsaw were going to fall.

Err...you had mostly fleets in the northern Russian area (only one army - as far as I can tell), Russia had an army in Galicia and an army in Moscow, he could have easily defended Warsaw or at least postponed the rapid crushing of Russia.

I did not take denmark from germany, i got there first.
And yes, usually germany has to decide if going against france or against england. Lucky me, the opening put France and Germany into a fight, so i let them fight and went for Russia.

Denmark is German. That's like Russia taking Norway. or France taking Tunis. It's an act of aggression.

And you bounced Germany from Denmark in Spring '01, so taking it amounted to taking it from him.

Yeah, I don't see how England could legitimately claim alliance with Germany if he took Denmark. That's pretty much your "free build" as Germany.
