That is true, though i am suggesting that the community has the ability to split into different groups and play on many servers rather than just one.

Individuals may have their prefer-ed server and spend more time there, different groups will focus on different changes.

I'm not saying you shouldn't complain, but i'm saying that EVEN if the majority here decides against your 'public trials' movement, you have every right to take your idea and run with it. Indeed i would support such a move in so far as it goes, people vote with their feet, and if the migrated to your server that would be reason enough to convince me of your arguement.

@orathaic - i'm well aware that I have the right to go elsewhere but what purpose does that serve? If everyone created a new site because they didn't like something we would end up with 100s of site; those that don't like PPSC; those that don't like ongoing furum posts; those that don't like swearing; etc etc; and then break away sites from each break-away site.

I note that whilst this site has had some 'public trials' that you're still here and haven't broken away yet?

the point is that people can then make the choice themselves what system the prefer, and freely move from one to another instead of being limited to what one person htinks is best.

The point is that the 'authority' may not be the best or correct answer, but by creating multiple copies with minor mutations we can 'evolve' to find the system which is the most popular.

I note that i have worked on maps for olidip, and run games specifically with my friends there, i may infact run my own site at some point (but as i don't intend to do any multi-hunting there, so i may not make it open for anyone to join, just private invitations...)

'breaking' away doesn't neccesarily mean i will never use this site. Which i find to be a very cool technical tool and community.

on the other hand, i've never seen anyone convicted based on 'public opinion' alone.

I know that if the mods had to take every public comment on the forum with equal weight then theotretically the cheaters could spam the forum with requests.

Infact the current system where a majority of cases prove innocent means the mods are totally over-worked and probably miss a lot of things.

However i don't see how you can efficiently enlist the 'public' forums to do the job (as much as i would like to be able to harvest that information processing from you)

If you are so concerned that the mods aren't doing a good enough job, please feel free to volunteer your services.

When did i ever say the mods weren't doing a good job? One may want to see an improvement, for example to be able to select a country, yet still think that Kestas has done an awesome job. In my experience people who do awesome jobs do not mind suggestions or ever criticism if it results in the thing they have created becoming 'better'.
