08 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1901: In other words, keep to the FAQ and Ill be fine. =) Good to hear.

Thanks!
08 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1901: good luck everybody. i am the host of this game, so i gladly welcome you to my virtual home to play this game. as you understood by the game name, i really hope that all of you are ready and willing to write a lot, since the time/phase is quite long for this purpose.
i like to write a little gdr, so if you like writing on such a fancy formal way, feel free to contact me that way. if you don't, nevermind i can talk straight if needed don't worry.
@cjva: this is a WTA game so the only thing to aim for is the victory. being second is the same of being the seventh.
good luck all
08 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1901: Sweet, thanks. =)
10 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1901: I formally declare war on Germany.
10 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1901: Oh come on, don't you think it's a little early for that? Can't we all be friends here?
10 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1901: I formally declare war on EGYPT!!! HAHA! :)
10 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1901: Peace, Freedom and Death to all aliens!
10 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1901: =P
10 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1901: ready up germany?
11 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: Turkey, you redy?
11 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: haha.:)
11 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: Guys, i am leaving for the weekend and i will be back monday. Can we pause please?
11 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: Im OK with that, If everybody agrees to unpause on monday (so this game wont be locked up forever)
11 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: yeah we have to run that risk but that is ok by me
11 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: if german comes back on monday it could be solved by just not redy this order. that would mean that this orders takes effect on sunday, and we will have a almost two days for the next order with germany with us.
11 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: the problem is that i might come home on early early monday, so i would appreciate some breathing timeframe, if possible
11 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: I am very nervous about doing it, people often use it as bargining, though I suppose noone is doing terribly,
11 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: The best thing to solve that is if everybody could agree to unpause on monday in that case, so we can show this to mods (if thats even possible under webdip rules, but it seems fair, since a pause doesnt seem like an ingame move, and using it to bargain with is more like metagaming)
11 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: @France: I've seen mods unpause games where a pause agreement was in effect (but then violated). It should be okay.
11 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: I'll unpause on monday
12 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: I'm just hitting unpause now on the provision that germany can be the last to unpause when they are ready
12 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: ooh, sounds like a good tactic. =)
14 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: It's Monday. Russia/Germany, can you please unpause? (In Germany's case, whenever you come back)
14 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: Russia seems to have unpaused. GOGO Germany, we miss you.
14 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: Germany, Germany, wherefore art thou Germany?

Yes, I realize wherefore != where, but I don't really care. :-)
14 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: =P
14 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: Germany, Germany, where are you, we miss our German friend.
14 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: This is why I don't like to pause games...
14 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: I agree, worst case scenario we contact a mod. Germany agreed to unpause on monday, so giving him a few extra hours might not be such a big of a problem.

The best thing with 2d2h games otherwise seem to be the fact that pause seem less needed in faster games.
15 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: (orathaic): FYI, Italy: using pausing as bargaining is prohibited by the rules of this website.

specifically "Don't abuse the software to gain an edge in online games that isn't possible in a real-life."

In this case i'd like to ask, given the broken pause agreement (it's still monday in some places, (3pm on monday on the dateline) but assuming Germany doesn't return, Would you prefer to leave the game paused until a new player has taken over (and germany forced into civil disorder now) or would you prefer to play on without him. (option three is of course voting to cancel, which would be a pretty annoying loss at this stage...)
15 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: (orathaic): pm me or email 'webdipmod@googlemail.com' with a reply (i'll probably forget to look back here)
15 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: What do you other guys think?

I would say that we wait until this day is over, give Germany one more day to get back, and if he don't I would prefer the civil order deal until somebody else takes his place. Just playing without him would benefit me and England to much.
15 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: back home!
sorry for the delay
15 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: welcome back germany. =)
15 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1902: (orathaic): hey wolf, glad to see you back! Good luck in the game all!
15 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1902: Sorry for bringing it up to the mods. I wanted to just give them advance notice so we could have timely action if it rolled around to Tuesday on the International Date Line. (I would NOT have wanted any action before then.)

Hopefully this won't affect any in-game relationships. :-)

Glad to see you back, Wolf.
16 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1902: no problems at all. it was me that messed with the ETA ;)
17 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1902: Where'd hightower go? :-(
17 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1902: first time i see an actual landswap with a convoy helping.
27 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: Thanks England for the fun and enjoying game of Guessing Game. =)
05 Mar 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: hmm, if we look at history, what happened the last time Germany started to fight on both fronts?
06 Mar 11 UTC Spring, 1906: Germany and Austria: When Italy is out of the picture, maybe a 3-way draw would be something?
07 Mar 11 UTC Spring, 1906: i am interested in that possibility. At least, i would not discard it immediately
11 Mar 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: I'm heading for work now guys, no pause or anything needed, but I would be happy if you don't ready your orders. =)
13 Mar 11 UTC So guys, draw this game?
13 Mar 11 UTC ok for me.
14 Mar 11 UTC Great game, everyone.

Anyone want to write EOGs? I actually might for the first time-- I think I owe Germany an explanation among other things :-)
14 Mar 11 UTC Oh, and Italy too of course.
14 Mar 11 UTC EOGs?

End of games? A way to tell people the why and how things?

Write and Ill read. =)
14 Mar 11 UTC ok, i will write mine on a notepad and when ready i will make a thread (if one of you guys did not that already)
