It is possible to break the stalemate but it would require a risky reshuffling of armies and fleets. Either way if neither alliance breaks the game will most likely end in a draw anyway, since Germany and Russia can easily build a true stalemate line.

You're almost to a stalemate. Have us check back in a year's time and we'll see -- all I'll say is that you're a year away. Beyond that I can't say and I don't know if I should even say as much as I have.

But no, not a stalemate... *yet.* And personally I'd bank on a stab even if the alliance is solid now... especially if you guys get the stalemate line.

actually smiley if its a stalemate people arent refusing to draw you can post it and bring the game to a mods attention at which point they can force a draw i believe

I'm afraid you'll have to interpret 1) yourself.
If the game is not fun because it's a stalemate, then you're not living up to the second listed responcibility - this does not mean you have to draw, but is talking about a hypothetical situation where a stalemate has been confirmed - i have not looked at the situation in this game, unwritten-policy dictates we not repond publically to avoid influencing an ongoing game.

I suggest you email the mods if you want a mod to look at this. I believe i can tell a stalemate position from a bunch of liers who are planning a coup, but i'm not going to force them to admit it publically... enjoy!

no if its a live game and its a verified stalemate you should do both.

I will say that it is not a stalemate as long as there is more than 2 players. You can always keep trying to talk two of the other three into stabbing the third and bringing it down to a three way (and possibly get a win in the process).

its not fair in a live game to do so not to mention pointless.

Really, it would be much better if the community could answer these questions rather than the mods, who have other things to do.

Now, questions like "Should I move here?" or "where can he break through?" aren't good, but the OP seems fine to me.

false. my posts in question do not lead one to believe im referring to the game in question just to stalemated games in general and procedure regarding them. anyone who forces a live game to continue with a stalemate set should be removed from the site.

There is a difference between trying to win through attrition and thinking you have an actual shot at converting someone. I've pulled off the latter (much to PResident Eden's dismay) but would never try the former. And I can see how frustrating it would be in a live game. That's why I wish we had the 5 year rule coded into the system.

if you cant persuade someone in two years then your probably not going to. and if you do after like an hour dont chalk that up to a diplomatic victory they probably just got sick of playing.

Yes, but it is possible that you are moving units from one front to another and could break through an "almost stalemate" position, but it might take a few years. So an automatic force-draw system should wait a decent amount of time, such as 5 years.

The Judges use the 5 year rule and it has worked well for a lot of years now.

Is it 5 years for a supply center change? Or would dislodging a unit reset the timer?

Let's assume the palyers concerned already have the moves for the stalemate position. At that point asking for a draw (by however many of them there are) basically guarentees you can't beat them.

I would interpret that as a stalemate position and draw the game.

If a mod has to be called in for this sort of thing then something is wrong.
