My experience with Mods is that they would have dismissed any accusations.

That's bullshit, flc. If you present your suspicions through the correct channels, they will investigate every report. They don't just dismiss them out of hand. Maybe their investigation reveals an issue, maybe it doesn't but they do investigate all accusations that come in through the *correct channel*.

the game has ended-- it was called Jungle -2 & and towards the end a player using the
playername Callumnisamazing was banned for being a multi, which I found hugely embarressing as I had been in alliance with this clown, so I reject your claim regarding the (almighty) Moderators -- please remember these guys are volounteers and often have to do the "clean up jobs" that are unfortunately required because there are clowns who cheat
I cannot see the point in cheating, and for example the points pot for the game I mentioned was a "huge" 35
I am super annoyed with the clown who set up the "Callumnisamazing" playername,
I value my reputation as a player, and felt that "by association" my reputation is somehow tarnished by my alliance with this damn chappy
after the fool was banned, all I wanted was for the game to be ended, I didn't even want any points out of it -- any enjoyment for me from that game had been lost.
Please do not interpret this next bit as "patronising" or "arrogant", but one of the things that I do enjoy when playing is "mentoring" or teaching" less experienced players / newbies when I make alliances with them, just as I like to learn from the "topline" players.
So I am disgusted with the damn chappy who chose to cheat & thankful that the Moderators were onto it & banned him.
It's too easy to criticise from the "spectators seats" flc64 -- unless you have experience in a Moderators role, I suggest you "pull your head out of your arse" & realise that what they have to deal with is probably quite dificult -- i expect there are some devious pricks who make it hard to detect and "prove" that they are cheats
Perhaps if these ratbags put their energies into learning the game & becoming better players rather than cheating then they would actually benefit

I suppose the best way to describe where I am "philosophically" is that i do NOT subscribe to the "win at any cost", or "mission at any cost" theory, or the "It's Ok if you don't get caught" theory

I prefer the "achieve your mission objectives, but bring all your chaps back safely" approach, or "win, and share the rewards" & most definitely " Win within the Rules & SPIRIT of the game" attitude

Yeah, flc tried to report me for metagaming once. I muted him cause it was a dick move because he was losing. Nothing happened because I didn't do anything wrong. I won't see a response either; probably best that way...

nobody is going to shun you or question your honor if you ally with a multi. Its like saying that is you are in a game where somebody multi's your reputation is ruined. Plus, in your game, only one banned person joined, which probably means there was no cheating in the game.

Nigee, the mods use their discretion. Sometimes people don't understand that they cheated and the mods understand that and take the appropriate action while still allowing them to play on the site. They haven't overlooked that.

yes it is irrational of me to over react in response to what occurred in that game, but it's how I felt, "tarnished by association".
Thanks to your help in joining that game, we were able to end it quickly

@zultar: Sorry about the question regarding the gunboat...I was just puzzled that 2 minutes after that was posted, someone joined in for Rome in that game.

@MajorMitchell: I understand how you feel, as I have been in negotiations with people who have cheated. However, I feel that because they are banned, we have a duty to draw the game (mostly because they've ruined it by being multis) or advertise their position so that a replacement is found. I wouldn't really feel "tarnished" if I negotiated with them, but if they stabbed me and they were a multi, I'd be annoyed because whoever controlled them knew of my negotiations and my moves and would have an unfair advantage.
