What is the point in "Anonymously + Without chat"?
As far as I understand "Diplomacy" game is all about negotiation. But I see many games here with no chat - what is the point?

it's a crime against humanity.

and another thing TED is a bunch of classic crap. Rich people who want to think they're smart by making smart people reduce their work into soundbites that money'd ppl can digest whilst drunk.

I dont see why you all do it. My best guess is so that you will annoy me when I need to dig through all the shit you all say, just to find a Diplomacy related forum post.

I really do kind of hate you all for that inconvenience

my first post on this board was about diplomacy. My one and only on topic post.

The libertarian style moderation might have something to do with it. I feel like it's 1995 on this forum.

Arguing on here is like participating in the Special Olympics. Even if you win you are still retarded.

I find that writing about topics here makes me much less interested in discussing them with people in real life. There's no easier way to popularity than never bringing up or participating in political conversations with people.

There is only so much that can be said about diplomacy strategy, especially since it's not a game that's really amenable to iron laws of strategy.

It's to entertain me between moves, or when I'm bored. That's why we do it. And I think its a great reason. I thank you all for it!

I think it's because we know the govt monitor our posts. They spotted the overwhelming support for non-intervention in Syria and finally abided by our wishes. Take a bow webdippers, we saved the world!

I think there is plenty to discuss about Diplomacy, specifically the leagues, tournaments and live games that people put on. However I need to dig through 6 pages of shit to find those forum posts.

Its to a point where its hardly worth bothering. There should be a Diplomacy forum and a Political Topics forum.

Part of the situation is that we focus on things which are wrong, (whether that means something that liberals think is wrong, like income disparity, or something conservatives think is wrong, like federal regulation) is there conversational value in looking at what is going right?

PE, libertarians definitely get some things right. And nothing pisses me off more than some little-Napoleon type forum moderator who bans people at the first whiff of troll. Webdip may be lost in the internet-mid-nineties, but I think we all appreciate it.

This Time on Philosophy
This is NOT a thread about religion. No affirming Jesus as divine-ergo-correct, we're just comparing philosophies. If you want to argue the miracles are somehow parabolic--ie, that the Bread/Loaves one demonstrates a tenant of his philosophy-fair game, but no arguing on whether or not he "did it." So let's play the Jeffersonian game and just compare arguably the West's two most important philosophic influences--Socrates or Jesus, who has the better life view?

Human Rights Watch believes White south africans being murdered should be ignored.

Human Rights Watch, a group which respects its own activist credentials, believes that anyone who cares about White Africans (caucasian people who are native to Africa) being raped and murdered is racist.

9/11
so... for those official theorists i think i can still give you more on 9/11 because this one obviously did have high ranking american official involvement and because it was so significant to the world. and it shows how coverups are possible that involve academia, government and the media working on concert.

After Obama
I've recently criticized Barack Obama rather severely. He deserved every letter of it. The alternative? I've said it before and I'll say it again: Jon Huntsman Jr. That's the guy I really hope (for the US at least) that he'll succeed this absolute clown of a President Obama.
