I don't see why the scoring system changes for the final round. Is there a reason for that?

The idea behind the scoring adjustment is to prioritize solos with the expectation that everyone who makes the finals should have the wherewithal to stop solos above all else. I suppose we could debate the merits of that, but the scoring change for the finals was announced from the beginning.

First is 3500 , second gets 1,000, third gets 500.

To Lando's credit, the new scoring system was established at the very get go, but I didn't notice it at the time. One consequence is that throwing a solo is very very bad news, since solos will be at a premium and I'm going to guess that anyone who solos wins the tournament. (I'm looking at you, Barn3tt!)

Hmm. I have been feeling a little inattentive (oof! So much gunboat!), but apparently someone else is even more out of it than I. I hope everything is ok in RL...

rdrivera - 9/1 - 11/1 - hear to make up the numbers, has friends in high places that have given him another shot after a poor showing earlier, best left in the shadows
Ogion - 100/1 - 16/1 - this years surprise package, currently on the crest of a wave but could be about to be dumped onto the beach, at these odds best bet to be placed

oof. I'm not the only late guy, but I've had a few. I just started a new job two weeks ago and it's wreaking havoc. I'm also playing like garbage which you all ought to be quite thrilled with!
