It pains me to say that Nigee is acting professionally and appropriately. He's throwing his usual insults but they are relevant to the topic and make sense in context - way to go Nigee.

Really, dipplayer and ssorenn, if you have this kind of view of Islam, you need to open your eyes.
Ssoren has proven himself to be a racist bigot. Not that we didn't know that already.

Your opinions make me sick, people like you are worse for the world than any terrorist.

@daniel
The old testament is very clear on what happens to unbelievers who trespass on land that is Jewish by right. Specifically, they get killed by god and the Israeli army. Yay! While the new testament does not specifically encourage killings, I would suggest that the actions of the popes in say, the 10th to the 18th century severely disturb the moral authority of the part of that religion which follows the pope. Also, there are many pieces of universally accepted scripture that are not exactly favorable to outsiders. It's not as bad as "everyone must die", but still, not nice. Also, if you accept actions of representatives as okay, then you get the popes, Luther, Calvin, et al. The popes tended towards a genocide of non-catholics wherever possible, Luther and Calvin were anti-semitic, the orthodox church wasn't really all that organized, but I bet there were bad things going on there too.

@ssorenn
Can I defend Bo's comment? I mean, I'm on and he isn't, so it's only fair.

"But judaism and Christianity believers don't commit random acts of terror, to instill fear into the entire world based on their faith"
Clearly aimed against Islam, and isn't exactly fine, since Israel is a nation half based on terror, and Christianity has some of the worst track records in history when it comes to acts of terror. I don't believe that random is all that much better than systematic when it comes to terrorism.

"how many Jews or christians walk around with bombs strapped to them and blow up market places with civilians ....Hmmmm---ZERO"
Does strapping a bomb to a drone and then throwing the bomb into a marketplace with civilians count? Again, why is systematic terrorism so much better than disorganized random terrorism?

As to your point about religious vs. governmental leaders, that would a convincing argument, except that only Muhammad was a religious leader for Islam, and to a certain degree some of the early caliphs had religious authority, though only as leaders of the community.

Next, a sample of the hilarious insults in this thread alone: "Nigee you are the idiot" at 3:56 "Fuck you shit head" at 4:06 "Fuck Off" at 4:52. Also, calling Nigee a bigot, calling Bo Bo-sux, but that was mild.

Just for fun, our 'ssorenn can't be bothered to read comments or think about points made in a discussion he participates in' special: "did not even read what you wrote" "why might you think i care what you wrote, please never address me again" "Lando I could care less what you think"

Also, boring old name-calling, but that happened on both sides.

As far a personal attacks are concerned, I would argue they were directed at me first, and I am more than happy to reciprocate.
"But judaism and Christianity believers don't commit random acts of terror, to instill fear into the entire world based on their faith"

So calling the while whole religious faction terrorists is not racist against that faction?

What happened hundreds of years ago isn't important to this thread or the arguments that I've seen arise in it. First of all there are Sunnis and Shiites are the two sects that we need to discuss separately. Although some people call the Sunni's out for being more violent (Al-Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden) Shiites make up 10% of the population of Muslims but overall are less violent. Multiple accounts of fighting have been recorded against each side but you must realize in some religions there are more radical groups. Judaism and Christianity have had there problems but the most current problems are found in the mulsim middle east
ssorenn (0 DX)

Muhammad was a religious leader for Islam, yes he was but he did not condone terrorist attacks of violence at all, for that matter,. to my knowledge the Koran does not condone violence at all
ssorenn (0 DX)

where did i say the whole anything?
phil_a_s (0 DX)
03 Oct 14 UTC
You started with the Fuck off comments. Also, your comments were obviously racially charged. What you are claiming is analogous to saying, during a discussion of "the Jewish problem": "Germans don't steal from people with high prices for worthless objects." It's obvious that you are making a comparison to the object of the discussion, since English, like most languages, has a rule that if a subject or an object is not present, you take it from the previous sentence, which here, is the one you were responding to, which was about Islam.

WOW WAIT UP!!!
Muhammad was very violent in after being exiled from Mecca to Medina basically created an army and came after Mecca and took it over. Although he was a prophet first and foremost bloodshed was apparent in Islam right from the start.

Muhammad was the only religious leader of Islam, and while he did make war, and encourage war, it is hard to fault him for it, considering the circumstances. The Koran does condone random violence, not that you'd care. It condones murder, it condones unjustified war.

You didn't say all of Islam was evil, you just said that no-one else was, which is false, and discriminates against Islam.

@JamesYanik
While it is a shame that most problems seem to be in the middle east, or are caused or aggravated by groups associated with Islam, it is not fair to fault an entire religion and community for it. People are capable of doing terrible things if brainwashed. It so happens that one of the easiest places to brainwash people is the middle east, and since there already is a world focus there, new groups are easy to find.

You can definitely find violent nutjobs in Judaism and Christianity, and in every other religion. Breivik was a radical Christian, and killed in the name of Christianity. Others like him have been found and apprehended. If there were not functioning states in the area, which there are not in most of these terrorist havens, they wouldn't have been found, and would also have massacred in the name of a religious/cultural identity.
I didn't read into anything that is exactly what you wrote

Being pushed 25km in a wheelchair
This crazy Dutch kid just grabbed me and made me sit in a wheelchair. He looked pretty crazy and I figured he was suffering from an overdose of earth radiation so I didn't resist. He then proceeded to run 25km over some very bumpy terrain, with me in the chair, despite my increasingly vocal protestation.

Running 25km, pushing someone in a wheelchair..?
It's one of those crazy thoughts I had. I figured I'd at least get myself informed. I'm now allowed to try it according to the council that matters, although I'd be forced to start in the back and stuff like that.
So I already have the green light in the bank, but can I even do this? Finishing time registration ends after 3 hours, so I guess I'd really want to run it within 3 hours. Possible?

2014 Webdiplomacy Tournament
I will start taking signups for the tournament. Here's how it will be different:

There will be a cash buy-in. The amount depends on the number of people that can commit (and buy-in) to the tourney. If I can get at least 25 players, the buy-in is $10. This would allow me to use the proceeds to purchase plaques for the top 3 places and best country awards. The remainder ($50-$100) would go to the site as a donation for allowing us to put together this tournament.
