We're overdue for a game of Ankara Crescent. I'll start:

Yes, and he's much more moderate than all four Republicans in the primary. So what's your point?
d31 (312 D(B))
25 Jan 12 UTC
Do you really think that someone to the left of the Democrats is going to even briefly consider voting for a Republican in a national election? Not unless they're an accelerationist.
Putin33 (111 D)

Or suicidal.

Is there a difference?

@d31 - Putin votes a straight dummycrat ticket even in the littlest of local elections. He has said so himself. I get voting for whoever the dummycrats put up at the national and even at the state level. But really, voting a pure dummycrat ticket is asking for someone to abuse the dummycrat party and get their name on it and it overlooks those not-so-dummycrats who end up on the independent roles because they decided to run that way when they didn't get the endorsement.
Draugnar (0 DX)

@Santa - I only use it in reference to Putty because he can't say Republican and has to be derogatory to them calling them repugnicans, so I use dummycrat. If I'm in a chat with someone and Putin isn't involved, I refer to them properly as Democrats or Liberals (I don't mind the term Conservative). But Putty deserves the derision I give him.

And I agree, the GOP has shit for nominees to put on the fall ballot for President this time around.
Again, dummycrat. Coming from someone whose party isn't sold on evolution.

Epic. Fucking. Fail

Fucktard.

Nice troll Santa, but I'm not biting your bait. It just isn't meaty enough for my taste. Chum the waters with something else and maybe I'll bite. But this shark just had a big meal and is swimming kind of slow and lazy right now.

"But really, voting a pure dummycrat ticket is asking for someone to abuse the dummycrat party and get their name on it and it overlooks those not-so-dummycrats who end up on the independent roles because they decided to run that way when they didn't get the endorsement."

Impossible, since in Ohio they don't list party affiliation and most voters don't vote party line anyway.

And that doesn't get into the fact that the surest sign of political instability is widespread "independent" voting.

About the title of this thread, let me share something I learned long ago that has proven useful over the years. If you ever find yourself starting a sentence with the following:

* "This might be none of my business, but..."
* "This might be the wrong time to say this, but..."
* "I don't want to offend anyone, but..."
* "This might sound racist, but..."

Then stop right there and don't finish the sentence. Chances are, if you think it might be one of those things, then someone else will definitely think it is.
BosephJennett (866 D)

I would also add: "My wife will never forgive me, but..." and "Hey guys, check this out, I saw it once on tv..."

If I was from the USA I would complain about the poor educational standards because all the presidential candidates seem mentally lacking.

@Putty - I live in Ohio. Just moved back in the fall and have lived here since I first started voting in 1984 with the exception of the 5 years I spent in Northern KY. Go blow your smoke up someone else's ass. They don't list it for Judicial Candidates as of Fall 2010 and Super Tuesday will be my first to see if they struck it from all candidatessince then. But I doubt they did. But even if they did, the Dems and Reps will give you a "party ticket" if you desire that you can carry into the booth folded up in your pocket and then vote a straight party line. So whether it is there on the official ballot or not, it is *not* impossible to vote a straight party ticket and you damn well know it. In fact, it is quite easy to do, stop lying out your ass, fucktard.
Draugnar (0 DX)

Clarification to avoid confusion. I just moved back to Ohio last fall. IT wasn't back in the fall, but just moved back. I lived in Ohhio from 1968 until Fall '06 and moved back here in Fall '11.

@Boseph: thanks, the whole thread is meant in a semi-serious fashion. Looking from a distance, Romney seems like a good guy for the job. Of course the OP, where I very carefully open with "I know this is none of my business" and then very bluntly state my "preference" is meant rather to provoke an interesting debate than to mingle in (what I assume is) your country's politics.
I'm happy about any democratic election that's being held in the world and I'd be happy to see businessman Romney or singer-basketball player Obama, both have interesting stuff to say IMO.
Anyway, if any one of you doesn't appreciate this thread please state it here or send me a PM and I'll apologize and start minding my own business again.

". But I doubt they did"

I don't care if you "doubt they did". Any fool can look at the sample ballots and see that this is the case.

"But I doubt they did. But even if they did, the Dems and Reps will give you a "party ticket" "

I've never received a 'party ticket', smart ass.

@Putin - Ask for one at the Democrats HQ in your county or outside the polling areas where they hang out promoting their candidates. you can get a full list of Dems or Reps, smartass.
Putin33 (111 D)
26 Jan 12 UTC
I've never seen anyone outside polling areas promoting candidates at my precinct. There is a 100 foot buffer zone law also. I'm not going to go all the way to the HQ to get a cheatsheet. The point is Ohio makes it difficult to vote 'party-line', so this chicken little routine about how I'm single handedly ruining democracy or something is ridiculous.
Draugnar (0 DX)
26 Jan 12 UTC
I didn't say you were ruining democracy. Vote for who the fuck and how the fuck you want. But 100 foot is less than 1/3rd of a football field. It's not but 2/3rds of a 50 yard dash. In short, 100 feet ain't shit. It's 5 pickup truck lengths. My front yard is almost that long.

I can see not looking into judges and dog-catcher for what their political parties are, but certainly you must know who the Democrat is for federal offices and governor. I'd count voting for one party for those positions as voting the party line even if you do slip a Republican coroner in there too.

Would it seem unusual to anyone if two countries in a full press Anon game let the phase run right down to the last hour or so to even save, never mind ready ANY orders? Combine that with the fact that they are obviously allied may suggest Metas/Multis no?
