Why does the United States still use the electoral college?

I feel it is outdated and unrepresentative. The millions of us who are political minorities within our states that are statistically impossible to swing are essentially left out of the entire election as much as foreigners are left out. This is undemocratic and unjust, is it not? If not, why not?

How does one resign a game?

I notice that many games list some of their players as having resigned. However, the interface doesn't appear to have a "resign" button anywhere. So how do people resign games?

Bunch of dicks and point whores exploiting CD's pretty much sums up this game.

Wasted two fucking hours because people care more about their super duper virtual points than actually having a fun, fair game.

Do I need to start exploiting CDs in order to inflate my results? It seems I should. Because I draw every time I'm the beneficiary, yet I can't expect the same from a bunch of my regular opponents.

But it's hard for me to do. Playing an unbalanced game simply isn't fun. I don't simply don't care about points enough to waste two or three hours not having fun just to increase the number next to my name on the computer screen. Sure, I like improving my results, but not at the cost of not having fun.

Don't be so nervous.Yesterday weren't such nervous when CD benefited you. Opening the thread pretty much showes who is a point whore and who waste two hours when losing only.

If other people don't draw, my only advice is to play your ass of to either eliminate them to or get your gains. When someone asks why you didn't draw, reply with "Why didn't they?"

I know that almost everyone agreed to a Draw/Cancel. I think England was holding out, and then Russia came back for a year and everyone gave up on that idea.

Lots of ways to think about this. Most of us had our votes up for the first 4 years. I took my draw down but left cancel, austria did the opposite. To mean we signalled each other that we both had invested almost an hour already so why not enjoy the rest of the game too. Too bad you couldn't feel the same in this one.

Skittles… if they don't draw, play as if you aren't going to draw. That's all you can do. If it's full press, say some bad words and then play on. Leave your vote up until the map is normal enough to excuse you not drawing anymore.

No, it doesn't, but noobs are noobs. If I did it or if someone people know around here did it, it wouldn't be excusable, but they'll figure it out. Wouldn't it be nice if new people played full press before gunboat?

It's like how a 3 year old can call you fat and it's really cute, but a 20 year old calling you fat incites you into a punch in the face. Know what I'm saying?

My problem is with all of them (even the ones where I'm the beneficiary and others are refusing to draw/cancel), not just this one.

I don't find an unbalanced game fun. I don't want to play an unbalanced game that isn't fun, yet I am "forced" to keep playing, or else face the social outrage that comes with resigning.

Well, to my credit, I had much more time to browse the forums and write a thread while having only 4 units at my peak to issue orders to.

This thread was basically a culmination of all the shitty games I've had to play lately. My last three games (at least, I can only remember the game today and two yesterday that I played) were all long, unenjoyable games I had to sit through instead of using the time to play a fair game. That includes the draw and even the solo I got yesterday.
