Banned user
I am in a game (Man the Torpedoes!) with a bunch of friends/acquaintances and one of the users was just banned for metagaming. He is not metagaming (at least not in this game for sure) so how can we restore his access so that we can continue the game?

So I jist watched the first Hunger Games
For a movie based on a teen book, it was much better than expected. Outstanding concept. Very good execution. Even the required teen "love triangle" seems more like a potential misunderstanding and political ploy than the Team what's or whoever bullshit of the Twilight series.

Ashes test 3
Since Octavious got bored of reporting on the Ashes the minute it became clear that England would lose, and this this is the first test this series where the winner isn't clear after the second day.I might as well restart the conversation.

Australia all out for 385 and England 180/4 at the end of day 2, with Bell, Stokes, Prior and Broad still to bat. Can England pull through for their first ever win at Perth? Or will the Aussies continue to dominate down under?
Octavious (2701 D)
14 Dec 13 UTC
England will collapse to 260 odd all out. Australia will put another two or three hundred on the board and declare, and England will lose by a safe margin.

It is a dull series between two mediocre teams.

I've been complaining about England's batting all year. If England were fighting it wouldn't matter that their skills are short of what they should be, but they're not. It hasn't helped that the toss has been against them either. If they had that advantage they might have been given enough of a boost to make a game of it.

Bell has really impressed me this year.

But yeah, Trott, Pietersen, Cook and all the others have been less then impressive this year.

Broad injured ..... this could get messy, England could need to score 400 to win
AUS will set ENG 500 to win and still have two full days to bowl them out.

Playing the last 2 matches will be a real anti-climax, I feel for the Barmy army who have spent their hard earned money to travel out hoping to see some competitive cricket

I find it hard to feel too sorry for anyone who can travel halfway across the globe for the sake of watching a cricket match. Painfully predictable once again.

Well played Warner. Can we call him Warnie, or is that name still taken?
Yep. Spend up big while youre here, folks. And enjoy that stupidly long flight (flights...) home

How many German speakers do we have here?
I took a few years of German in high school and college, but it's piss poor. I'm thinking about setting up a German-only game where I can enjoy a little Diplomacy while immersing myself in the language for a few minutes a day.
