People are very mean to each other on this forum. We all share a common interest that barely anyone outside of here even knows exists. The personality traits of Dip players seems to be that they are part mean, part nice, part Asperger's, part fake, part sincere, part antagonistic, and most of all highly intelligent. And put all of these combustible traits into a flammable environment like this forum and it really brings out the worst baseline actions in many. Individually, nearly everyone I interact with here seems like a nice person, but the gang mentality is often out in force, and it makes me kind of sad to see the bullying of others that happens around here. That is all.

@Mapu - You are confusing bullying with what is actually happening. Someone does or says something completely stupid and the group jumps on them to make sure they realize what they have done and to not make that mistake again. To quote Doug from King of Queens "And that's how we learn."

Fair enough, but it's kind of strange. I feel bad that jmo and the mods are trying to do their job and they get laid into all the time. Then I feel bad that people start laying into Lando. And last week I felt bad for CSteinhardt when everyone was giving it to him. Maybe it's all in good fun and everyone just has especially thick skin and I'm just being dramatic. Hell, I even felt bad for Split a couple weeks ago because people were giving him a lot of shit.

Does nobody else use the mute thread feature? I got suckered into this thread by the vague title, but am about to add it to my very long muted list.

Also, if i really want to talk about real world politics, why would I do it here instead of a more broadly based forum? I mute everything that is not WebDip related.

When people start trolling, I stop reading, or join the trolling. If everybody does that, there's no problem.
