Since we have a new Tournament TD position, I'd like to file a complaint and get some justice.

I received an email from the TD of the Leagues today:

"I am sorry to inform you that you will not be able to play the Leagues this season due to your CD's last season as explained in the rules which can be found TGM's website. However, I would like to reserve you in the sub bench and will allow you to play if a spot opens."

I have 3 CDs to my name, all of which came in my early days on this site. According to the game history, I had one NMR in one League game last fall and ZERO CDs. Without actually checking the record, I was denied a spot in my A2 League. Who took my spot? The tournament director, who's record is poorer than some players in the B League.

And this is surprising? That's why TDs should be uninvolved in the tournament as is the case in the Masters.

There needs to be more oversight to this. No offense to the TD but there was no due diligence performed in my case and even a cursory examination of my record would reveal the mistake.

You know that Kestas is going to say that the mods have nothing to do with tournaments and you should just join a different tournament.

you guys are crazy! i gave 2WL my seat just because there was a glitch in the records. records which, by the way, i did not even take. and instead of a thank you for literally spending about 6 hours on seeding and giving up my seet in the tournament so that you could reclaim your chair, you want to file a complaint??

and for your information, 2WL, site records dont matter for shit in the leagues. i signed up 4th for the leagues and was therefore seeded 4th best after all returning players. i swear to god, you make me so fuckin sick.

I'm not implying that you took my seat, I'm complaining about the lack of oversight and due diligence.

jgurstein kindly volunteered to remove himself and give me his spot, which was very sporting of him.

Why don't you ask this shitprick? He can deny it but once the games start, everyone will realize that I am not in *any* of the Leagues. Note that I could have just given him his position, moved myself to B and kicked at the lowest ranking player. But I decided to be a good little TD and drop out altogether just so that everyone would be able to play. Fuck this.

If you can't take criticism, you've got no business as a tournament director. Lando's tournament has 1500 posts, 1400 of which are complaining about the tournament. Criticism happens, and it's irresponsible of a tournament director to call his participants "shitpricks".

And by the way, as mentioned before, I spent over 6 hours just to make sense of old records, completely restructure the Leagues, and seed everyone based on a mix of old and new relegation/promotions structure. Lack of due diligence, my ass. The records said you were CD and I'm sorry if I was supposed to go back to every League game ever played to count up points, SC's, who CD's, number of ties... I'm not superhuman. And I emailed you my seat hours ago. Obviously your just *thirsting* for attention. Still makes me sick though.

bo - I have to contest the validity of your statement. I am involved in the Masters as well as TD'ing it. Its the tournament that most reflects my playing style, which is why I took over running it. I asked at the beginning if players wanted me in or not, and since nobody said no, I added myself to the list.

jg don't blame the records. I've got three fucking CDs on my record and I'm not a new player, so use your brain next time. Don't just assume the records are right.

As a former TD, may I suggest that you take a step back and relax. You are acting in a rather unbecoming banner. People complain and as a TD it is your job to address those complaints. You shouldn't take it personally.

Yeah, I think everyone took a minute to cool down, thankfully all this happened before the tournament started, much better to work out issues now then once it's underway.

Why do people keep on posting shit like this on the forum? Really, let the 90% of the happy players play in peace and mail the mods. Any person who's been on here longer than a week knows that mail is the way to go.

I think raising concerns about tournaments is a perfectly legitimate use of the Forum.

@TheMinisterOfWar, the tournaments are run by a TD, while the new rules let the team help out more in regards to problems the actual placement and seeding is completely up to the TD. I do agree with the sentiment though, there are plenty of issues that emailing will get a much faster reply then posting.

Why do we run off all TDs? They are already going through a pain in the ass to organize tournaments for us and players here are constantly making their jobs harder. This could have easily been solved through PMs...poor showing.
