So the story,
A few weeks ago, while I was longboarding, I took two new members of the club to a parking garage to show them how awesome it is to take an elevator back to the top of a run instead of walking. Usually I would do a walkthrough to check for cars and puddles and shit, but this time I didn't. So we started bombing from the top, me out front and the two newbies following. On the last slope one of them had to much speed and shot out in front of me so I carved hard to the right, and then as I was carving back to the left my rear wheels went through a puddle of something and caused me to go into a toe side slide. While I could have handled this, unfortunately with my wheels now sideways, when I hit the stress crack, the board stopped and I didn't. Since I was facing uphill I fell backward about 120 degrees, and with a speed of about 20 mph when my unhelmeted head hit the ground it got fucked up.
I ended up in the hospital for a week, and bed ridden at my parent's for another week and a half. I had a cracked skull, a major concussion, and brain hemorrhage. If I had been wearing a helmet, I would have been virtually unharmed.
So that's my fuck up. Wear a god damn helmet kids.
