Nonsense....if you can't handle 5 minute turns....then you won't win.

On the face of it the idea makes sense. Implementation is harder. The webdip system processes games on a 5 minute cycle. If you all finalize early, the last one to finalize will kick off the process. But if not, then the game only gets processed when it hits the next 5 minute cycle. (Which by the way means if you all finalize the builds early, you'll have extra time in the next phase.)

Disclaimer: this is my understanding of how it works, but I don't play live games much so it might not work quite that way, feel free to correct me.

An alternative approach could be to add a 5/10 min phase game that starts out at 5 minutes and kicks up to 10 minutes on turns that someone has 10+ centers. Retreats/builds would still be 5 minutes.

Yeah, I realize that implementing it will require some skillful programing. Sadly I know nothing about programing so I can't be of help or I would've done it myself.

The 5/10 min idea sounds fine, and it seems like it would be easier to implement. Anyway is fine with me.

One correction though, if orders get finalized early the next phase is the same length as it would've been if the didn't. There's no rollover minutes here lol.

clicking territories to submit moves would probably be a nicer solution, i read somewhere that they're working on it, not sure how true that is. but the downside to your plan is that the other countries that have like 2 or 3 units now have to wait 10 minutes instead of 5, when it takes them 20 seconds to submit orders.

I'll be completely frank; I highly doubt this will get implemented here. You could try over a vDip.

In F2F, it gets really hard to communicate and enter your moves, too. That's just the way it goes.

if they don't want to implement territory-clicking, that's fine. but cut the bullshit. don't go around saying it's in development when it's not. it's bad enough the members are full of shit, do the people in charge also have to be?

@eden it's definitely written that it's in development. i can't remember where though. i think when i first was interested in this website i looked at the development forum or something. but wherever it was there was a question asked about it and the response to it was and is that it's under development.

@YJ, what would be the benefit of banning bolshoi? If he wants he'll just come back as another user name where all the people that muted him will have to re-mute him once they re-figure out he isn't worth paying attention to. Additionally, getting banned would probably just boost his ego.

i was thinking of making a few alternate rankings, maybe one win/loss ratio, one... i don't know, some combination of total wins and win/loss ratio.... or whatever other people wanted. and i definitely was going to make a list of a few people who did well in one area or another... but i started to lose interest. nobody cares much and i think my computers are hacked. the code i wrote is still there though. i just haven't cared enough to do anything else with it. moved onto another project.

The best thing about these rankings is I'm not there, which means I have bloshio number equal to 2.

i think i only have you down for 2 games, a 3-way draw and a 5-way draw. there are probably some people on that list who have only played one game but won it. my original list put all the one-game winners at the top, but then i tweaked the code slightly... but yeah, no losses, so it's a good record.

@ulytau i don't know if you play live games, but i didn't get any, at least no wta gunboats on the classic map.

even if you did play live games, there was a 50th place cutoff.

I used my gift of foresight in December to predict the First Coming of Bloshio and on purpose avoided any live WTA gunboats in order to maintain the bloshio number 2.

i don't understand the "bloshio". is there a joke i am missing? some kind of pun hidden in there? some users keep using that one, so i am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, that there is something funny about it.
