Not sure I'm qualified to add my twopenn'orth but I will anyway.
We went into our local supermarket (in Normandie, France) to buy a litre of milk. At the checkout my wife (as were all women shoppers) was given a rose. It's one of the things the French do so well.

Nonsense eh? Well it doesn't surprise me that pancake eating British Tories would have such a low opinion of women. After all, it's not as if they're the ones who are denied medical coverage because pregnancy is considered a 'pre-existing condition', and afterall, it's not like anyone is going to take away their erectile dysfunction pills.

Sir, it is Pancake Day. Both men and women belong in the kitchen on such a great holiday! As far as my age goes, I am old enough to have been born under a female head of state and female prime minister.
