No, I have not played that actually. I'll have to look in to it once my summer break begins. I don't know much elvish other than a few words I picked up here and there from the books and movies. Yes, nar is fire (as in Narsil). Draug is wolf. MePBM is a play be (e) mail game but it costs each turn, so you may or may not have the funds to get involved.

There is several different age groups on the site. We have many high school groups that use the site. They usually stay off the forum. Then we have a large contingent of college age students - including many of the mods. And of course there are lots of people here who are married and in their 30s, 40s or older who played diplomacy back in the play by mail days.

Draug - what is Quenyan? I'm aware of Sindarin, but where is that language from?

Tolkin developed several languages. Sindarin and Quenya are the most widely known though.

Well Draug's interpretation of his name is actually open for some debate.

"Nar" does mean fire, generally, but it also means "light, bright, shimmering, aflame, flaming."

And "Draug," doesn't necessarily mean only "wolf." The best translation means "venerable hunter."

So when you put them together it really makes the translation in an informal sense as, "flaming old predator."

I was playing the Dog Lord and needed a commander to go along with my Nazgul so pulled out my trusty old dog-eared copy of RotK and did a little rearch. And found druag, amongst it's many meanings, was wolf and I new nar was fire so it worked and it stuck. I was in my mod 20s at the time. :-)

@krell - everything is email submissions with software that generates a file to submit and they return a PDF. Plus you can send messages to your allies through the email system and they route them to the appropriate players.
