Bump. We are in need of a replacement player for these first three games.

Note, the nice thing about being a replacement player in these games is that the alliances are semi-fixed since you can only talk to 2 other players, the same 2 in each game.

What...would you please let me know if any of my players is getting replaced? Also can we have the games paused just for courtesy sake...extra time should be required to talk.

To your first question, yes. As in, I'll let you know if any of your players(partners) is getting replaced.

I'll pause it when necessary.

The group 1 games have been paused until a replacement can be found.

This has also shown a minor bug. With the "Wait for Orders" flag turned on, and having the game paused, it says "One or more players need to complete their orders before this wait-mode game can go on" when it isn't paused for that reason.

Note, the 300 point tournament buy-in is not required for the replacement player as the original player has already put up those points. Only buy-in required is for the actual game pots.

I was going to post something similar... is group 2 still happening? It's been a while and I haven't heard anything.

If it does still happen I am afraid I will have to drop out (of group two) I can't take on any games now. I apologize.

Where we are is that one player needs the games paused for this week, and another player needs them paused for the following week. It'll be two weeks before we can unpause the games. I'll get y2kjbk or someone else installed by then. Unless all of the current players want to scrap it which would be unfortunate.

I would be OK with scrapping these games at this point.

I have sent PMs to the players in the first group asking if they want to continue with replacements, cancel these games and restart with a new group, or cancel and not continue.

Folks, I am very sorry to inform you that I'm going to have to take a short leave of absence from the site altogether. I have recently moved to start grad school again, and there's a plethora of problems at the new house that I didn't think/know I had to do (one of which might be a rat infestation problem). In addition, I have to start the research position much earlier than planned. There's just too much stuff for me to do at the moment.

I've asked Alderian to cancel the games and I hope that would be ok. If not, the mod team will figure something out for me. I will resume my mod duty in a few weeks.

From my PM poll, everyone was okay with cancelling, with just a couple wanting to restart. I'll cancel them in a day or so in case anyone objects or just wants to review them before they go *poof*.
