Even though it wasn't a actual tournament or anything and the games were originally 'wait for ready up' and that stopped halfway through leading to a lot of cds... i figured as they've all come to an end i would post the "results" anyway

"Shut Down" Bullshit by Obama
If we don't Federal Workers to man the WWII memorial...how come we have enough to pay the guards to put up barricades and stand guard to prevents WWII vets from visiting? How come Obama still seems to have staff at his *golf course*?

Seems Barrack Dickhead Obama has a very selective vision of what "shut down" means...

DEBT CEILING NEGOTIATIONS
If nobody has ever negotiated on the Debt Ceiling, as Obama and the intellectually vacant around here say, …then how did we get Sequestration after the Debt Ceiling negotiations in 2011. Sequestration was *Obama’s* plan, by the way.

How very little intellectual integrity exists within you morally perverted Democrats…

Rank Questions
So how long does a player remain a Political Puppet and then move on to Member, Experienced, etc?

Is it a matter of how long you've played or how many times you've won or drawn? Or is it just based on time spent on the site? Just curious. Thanks for your help....

Any interest in a 3 to 4 day phase game? I'd definitely want WTA, but buy-in, anonymity, and map (classic or modern) are up for debate. Drop a line and your preferences if interested. Thanks.

was lincoln great for our elite?
bill still seems to think the elite wanted to divide america so lincoln was a problem for them. but i am not so sure. lets say he did not declare war on the south and let the south kick out the norths military from their territory, would that have really benefited them much?

College Life
So a couple months ago I asked the WebDip community for advice for college. Many of you said that joining a frat would be a good idea, and at the very least I should check it out.
Well, on October 7th I am pledging to Theta Chi; are there any soon-to-be fellow frat mates on WebDip? What other fraternities are people a part of?

Fog of war variant
Correct me if there is already one, but wouldn't it be cool to have a variant with 'fog of war'? You would only be able to see enemy units in territories neighbouring your own territory/armies. The uncertainty would make things very interesting.. perhaps with additional distance limitations on conversation as well

GUNBOAT TOURNAMENT
As has been mentioned, I am hoping to run a gunboat tournament. I intend it to be basic but also comprehensive. I will detail some "things" below. I would like to get a read on who would be interested in playing.

1909 –
Austria, encouraged by Russia moving away from him, starts the all round attack, takes Rumania and the last Turk center in Ankara and with all the rest go with the full attack against Italy, takes Tyrolia and tries for Ionian. But Italy is prepared for it and bounces him over Ionian, brings other fleet closer to Tunis and position his armies on the Tuscany/Venice line.
Germany leaves the French border and send all his units toward Russia and Russia continues with his march on Germany.France realizes what's going on,of course, and leaves Germany alone and comes closer to Italy in order to form the south stalemate line waiting for Russia to be defeated and for Germany to form his line on the north.Turkey is gone,Russia one down and Austria is on 10.
1910 –
Russia keeps making space for Austria to expand on the north-east sending all his units towards Germany in order to give him pain but Germany is better positioned up there and takes advantage of the fact,Russia is two more down, four to go and Austria is on 11. Meanwhile France keep filling the south line coming to Piedmont and West Med,with four Italian units Venice and Ionian are still unbreakable from the east,German centers are also out of the reach for Austria...
1911 –
Russia disbands Moscow and leave Skagerack, holds with all his units both turns but executes his retreats and he's down to Norway only at the end of the year.Germany leaves Munich for Austria, deliberatly, most probably because he's angry at France who took him London and now Austria is on 14 + Ionian and now this looks like as the Austrian solo is allmost completed. If France and Italy wont be synchronized in defending Italy the game is over.In addition also Berlin and St.Peterburg are in a risk to be taken by Austria as Germany didn't take care of it as he's probably in the mode to throw the game away...
1912 –
Italy is in a need of gambling and outguesses Austria with the double attack on Apulia while France takes Tuscany and Tyrhenian, with the last army on his way to Piedmont the whole Italy is secured from taking by Austria.Meanwhile Germany outguesses Austria too by defending Berlin and taking Munich back with the French help from Burgundy.Meanwhile Russia with his last unit in Finland tries to help Austria get St.Peterburg but germany prevents that too.Take a guess who is the one (again) who helps the solo even with one last unit when it's obvious he's gone! Take a guess who is the one (again) who receives the help for the solo!
At the end of the year Austria is on 13 and stalemated on all fronts.
1913 –
Austria still doesn't want to draw because he saw Germany is greedy and doesn't know what he's doing. So he takes Apulia but he's still short there to get anything, the same as on the German and St.Peterburg front.France defends English channel of Germany who tries to get as many centers as possible so in the spring of...
1914 –
Austria accepts the 4-way draw.

So - why we all don't understand the strategy which Russia performed in this game too? Beats me! I realize "he sees things differently then all of the site members on this issue and that wont change" but I wonder how come he's so unique and special. And how come he didn't see things differently in the last game when he changed the policy of his so suddenly.
I see only one potential explanation...

I wanted y2k to win, and I knew who he was in every game. But most of all I didn't want that dickhead cheater SplitDiplomat to win, so I knew he was Russia in the "last game" and took that draw. lol. *rolleyes*
y2kjbk (4846 D(G))

If that's true it would be pretty disappointing, even as the benefactor of the play. As someone more or less ignorant of most of the scandal that seemingly occurred during this tournament though, I don't have anymore to say on the matter.
Is anybody else allowed to make cheating accusations on the forum besides Lee?
I know I was silenced 37 seconds after I made such a post...

@split - its not an accusation at all, its a documented fact many pages back in this thread.
Gen. Lee (7588 D(B))

@y2k, *rolleyes* can be taken to mean /sarcasm. And I didn't have clue who was playing what country in any games FTR. ;-)
It's not a cheating accusation so much as a cheating admission.
y2kjbk (4846 D(G))
07 Oct 13 UTC
I did assume the *rolleyes* was adding some level of sarcasm to your comment, but wasn't sure.
No problem Lee,we'll see what the mods feels about the fact you call someone a cheater publicly. I'm not sure if it's allowed for ordinary members, for snitchies maybe it is...

@Gen. Lee, Those issues were resolved by the TD, Zultar, and Kestas. There was no inappropriate play in the finals, please do not imply otherwise even sarcastically. Anyone who feels past investigations were not handled correctly can email us, but further forum accusations by anyone will result in a silence.

@y2k, congratulations on your win, that was a fun set of games to watch.
Ha-ha,that's what I thought, why would you silence a rat as he's above the rule. Immagine I called someone a cheater, you would react like this? Corrupted pig.
jmo1121109 (3812 D)
07 Oct 13 UTC
My warning matches site rules Split, but as always, you're welcome to appeal it to Kestas.

Cheating Accusations/Repercussions
If you make cheating accusations in the forum, we will give you a stern warning and/or "small" point dock (10% of your total points or 20 to 100 D, whichever is smaller) for the first offense depending on the severity of the accusation and how well-acquainted you are with the site. For the second offense, we will levy a heavier fine, which will be at least 10% of your total points, and we will consider more serious actions depending on the specifics of the offense.
Exactly my point, lot's of room for corruption and to act as you wish.

Please someone lock the thread! RIP (until the next merry-go-round!)
Why do you keep your mouth shut you dirty scumbag? I've asked you a simple question - why didn't you silence this piece of shit after he called someone a cheater? The same as you silenced me 37 seconds after I've done the same thing? Or anyone else you have silenced for minor shit then this? And don't give me crap about appeals but man up for once and spell it out.
By the way @Gen. Lee what "documented fact back in the thread" you are talking about if you have the guts to prove what you just said? If I recall correctly you were the one who explicetely claimed there was no cheating going on in the tournament. Do you want us to go back and check it out? So how come you changed your mind about it so suddenly and dare to call me a cheater? Do you have some proves for the statement?

Not gonna let this go, are you split....
What is your problem y2kjbk? You would let it go if there stayed your name instead of mine? When you meet a piece of shit you are obligate to face him and say "hello piece of shit, how are you today?",you can't close your eyes and walk through without a salute...
y2kjbk (4846 D(G))
08 Oct 13 UTC
I've never been able to hold a grudge for anything. I've been pissed at myself before for not being angry at someone when I felt I should have been. Different temperament I guess.
That's fine and I'm not judging your temperament and asking stupid questions like "will you let it go this and that?".

"Why do you keep your mouth shut you dirty scumbag?"
I do love SplitD as he is slightly emotionally unstable which makes him seem intense and unpredictable. He is the kind of guy who would have been on the barricades during the revolution wielding a scythe and shouting 'death to the invaders'.
His persecution complex makes me think he has seen some suffering or sadness in his life, or maybe it is just extreme paranoia ..... that can be treated.
Anyway keep up the good work Tiger ..... funny man !!
p.s. He would be a riot in full press games, no wonder he sticks to GB.

Just a thought ... emotion + second language sometimes comes across more stringent than intended ... Split certainly feels strongly, but I am not sure he deserves the collective ire of the group as expressed in this thread.

IPCC finally admits that it was lying to us all
You've gotta love this:

My stance on global warming for the last year has remained the same: The IPCC were exaggerating their claims, and that while global warming is happening, its not happening as quickly as climate scientists think.
