I think my odds are too short given that, as previously discussed, I ain't playin' if Split's playin', and I can't imagine Split honoring his promise to step aside.

But, either way, I can't deal with this until I'm above ground most of the day.

Just please don't hold up the whole tournament again. If you aren't playing just tell us now and we'll get fairfax in the mix.

My promise still stands. If CSteinhardt wants to play the finals without me in I'll resign.

Ok, my patience with all the drama is short just now. It's just immature and full of chest thumping to back out at this point for whatever reason other than real life preventing you from playing. It's 7 gb games. There isn't any talking involved (thank goodness). Split and CS, both of you are playing. That's all there is to it.

Since everyone is here, I'm going to make the assumption that everyone will play. I will make the games on Monday and give it a 7 day join time so that everyone should have plenty of time to join.

I don't understand what problem I'm causing now that I need be put in the same context with this guy. I thought I was trying to resolve this issue asap so the other players don't wait too much for the start. I don't like anyone waits for me. I told you - you can start the finals as soon as he and the 8th player confirm they are in. Only thing more CS could do is to say the exact reason why he wants me out. If he has honor at all. Although I can't immagine he could have it. Either way I don't hold up anything,you (or we) can start the finals right away. Gg and good luck in the finals.

Well, this is getting interesting.

Csteinhardts reasons for protesting keep changing. First it was landos decisions in the tournament, now it's because splitdiplomat is playing. I think the doctor just wants attention. I think this is just like the time when he delayed the start of round 2. No clear explanation as to why, explanation kept changing from "it will give us an advantage over the other division" to "i will start only if everyone promises to finalize orders"

At the end of the day nobody cared about either reason. Just start the bloody games please.

@Split, all Zultar was saying is that he doesn't want you to resign from this tournament. You earned your spot in it. These are gunboat games, no press, nothing outside the games should influence your desire to play in them.

Best of luck to you all, this has been a fun tournament to watch so far, hopefully the finals are as much fun to view.

@jmo all I was saying is that I don't want anybody resigns the tournament because of me. You can be sure I wont let it happen. You could start honorating this tourament and this site by explaining this Higly Inteligent Doctor I didn't make the finals due to a cheating. Because for some reasons he thinks I did it. And he claimed he thought so because he had been told by the mods about it. And nobody else here had no idea what he was talking about. So maybe it would be nice to explain such strange relationship between him and the authority of the site. I have a feeling this guy is a sort of a silent leader of the site because he was actually running the tournament the whole time. And he keep doing so,the TD's requests have no meanings to him at all,he doesn't answer any authority of this site.

I was under the impression that part of the Highly Intelligent Doctor's agreement to continue on was that he would play in the finals. If I recall, he made a big stink in the middle of round 2 and was told that if he wanted to quit the appropriate time was immediately. Further, part of the conditions of zultar taking over were that the Highly Intelligent Doctor would then have a TD he supported in charge and would play in the tournament until the end. Perhaps I misunderstood, but to return to an issue that appeared to have been resolved is pretty fucking distasteful.

That being said, nobody can force the Highly Intelligent Doctor to do shit, he's too smart for that. So let's involve Fairfax and move on.

As an aside, and @Split, if you don't play in the finals I won't either. There would no longer be a point.

I went and found the details. per zultar:

"Lando has voluntarily resigned as the current TD, and he has designated me as the new TD. I will take over Lando’s role immediately. Lando will remain as my advisor to help me since this was his tourney to begin with. I have also talked with CSteinhardt. He will play the rest of the games to the best of his ability, and if he should be fortunate enough to move on to the next round, he will do so and he will play to win. I hope this will satisfy everyone involved, and we can move forward with this tournament without further ado."

I think Split should play the finals as he deserved to be there (and will probably win). If Csteinhardt doesn´t want to play with him, pitty, step aside and let Fairfax play.

If split, CSteinhardt, and Lando are not going to play I will go ahead and take the title and the pot and we can all move on. ;-)

Ok I recommend this tournament be settle any seven rounds of France v Austria on vdip between me and gen lee. It will be like the Stanley cup finals.

I believe SD and I are the only ones who didn't solo to get here...I should probably have the worst odds - b/c we know SD can solo.

I have the worst odds... 1:infinty seeing as I was defeated first round and not in the finals. :-)

Sd could have soloed one game in round 2 as Russia but chose to draw instead.

I couldn't have soloed that game. If we had continued playing it would have been Nigee's solo. I could have won only by accident in the last turn played if I had ordered some unlogical moves. After it was too late for me...
