Just to be clear the original ranking were All time and Current. The new ranking is WTA.

I see now the ranking on the left hand column is current ranking, but you have also provide the all time Ghostrating in the far right-hand column. My ranking both current and all-time is 230. Others players rankings have changed. This method makes Rait the all time top player, instead of TheMasterGamer who is now number 2. The old method says Rait is ranked 4 for all time.
From what I have heard about the legendary Rait, he sounds like a good candidate for the all-time top player.

Actually I made a mistake with my excel formula I am 230 current and 252 all-time, but Rait is still number 1 all-time.

Okay but this would suggest Rait either won those games or played for a draw. He didn't play to maximsie SCs, but still lose.

He won alot of the games, and rather than being credited with 18/34, he gets credited with 1. Big difference.

wow, couldn't find my rank when i searched around where i was last month. damn increase of 892(from 1139 to 247) spots made me look around for a way more time than it should have. I'm still surprised i'm this high now I guess i'll have to lose a couple games to make it more normal ;)

Now that PPSC is ghettoized, perhaps we should stop even offering it as an option.

b) I didn't just remove PPSC games, I treated them as WTA games.

Yep, won't be making my small-stakes "who cares about points?" games PPSC anymore. WTA all the way. Which, oddly enough, increases the points-based incentive distortion...yay...

Actually I don't think this is the death of PPSC games at all. But if you want to get a good Ghostrating then plan to win or failing that play to draw, don't play to get second, regardless of whether you are playing PPSC or WTA.
The Ghostratings need have nothing to do with PPSC or WTA. Ghostrating is about Diplomacy - win, draw or lose.
The points system is still fine, but see it for what it is - a method for helping players to find games with players of a similar level, and method by which players are encouraged not to commit themselves to too many games. We don't have to view the points as a measure of a players success.
If we do want such a measure then we have Ghostratings.
