@poot - when we played a game last week with this style, it was 6 or 7 hours the first day, we all paused when most had to leave, and continued the next day finishing after a couple more hours

I could start playing 3 hours from now, and could stay up half night, if need be.

how about doing this on a weekend... and maybe starting a bit earlier (Europe vs. US)....
also rather make it 24 hours and password protected (so that only people who read this thread can join and are aware of the 15min deadlines) and then let it turn into a rgular game when the first person has to leave...
it worked for me once for 6 hours on the first day (then we had to draw, but if everyone agrees beforehand to continue it as a normal game...)
Should of course only be with "reliable" players... whoever that may be ;)

i'm fine with starting earlier. the weekend i don't like b/c i enjoy the time away from the computer, but sit in front of one at work all day. so that's why i like doing it during the week. i know people do play these kinds of games on the weekend tho!

as for timing and password, that all sounds good to me, but then we need to round up 7 people beforehand more or less.

I'm running around with kids all weekend. I sit in front of a computer all day pretending to work. Weekends don't work for me, but of course I shouldn't be doing this anyway! So just let me know - I unhid my email, so contact me there if there's one during my workday.

But don't schedule ANYTHing around me. I'll tag along if it works for me.

BTW, @poot - the only reason the game last week took so long is that one of the players that signed up was from japan - we had to wait the first 2 hours for him to CD. Another player was less available than he originally intended, so we often had to wait for him. 5 of the players were finalizing every 15-20 mins. It was completely insane and very fun.

I'm in if it's a quick one for a small pot. I'm about to get points back in one of my games. I can start finish tomorrow. Just a couple of meetings during the day, but it's not like I don't check one every hour anyway while I'm at work:)

Tomorrow I can play from as early as you want to 22 GMT, but will be mostly away from 14 to 15 GMT, which means I might be able to enter orders, but I won't be able to engage in conversation.

sounds like we have at least a game with CD germany and italy. i bet we can get two other plays by then. i'll set it up at 1500 GMT =)
