World Diplomacy map balance
I'm in two games of World Diplomacy; one as China and the other as USA. Both of these countries have the same problem: They are surrounded by countries, and those countries have no incentive to go anywhere else because all the SC is bordering China/USA, and they don't really have secure SC.

Don't get me started on USA. All the SC a territory away from each other, unable to support. I know it's hard to balance a map for 20 people, but it's ridiculous.

Homophobia?
On a related, but perhaps more serious note, I see that Stephen Fry and his new husband have at a problem on their Honduran honeymoon.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/celebritynews/11672513/Stephen-Frys-honeymoon-wrecked-by-homophobia.html

Shoud they have shown more consideration to local sensibilities? Should we condemn Honduran and by extension, for example, Pakistani, homophobia in the forthright terms we use in the UK or the USA? I am not sure, what do people think?

In between stabbing out eyes and large black tarps
I understand 1st amendment rights allow free speech, and I know censorship is a slippery slope to slimy stalinism, but isn't 'instant coverage' of news causing/accentuating many of the 'racial' issues we have nowadays. what restrictions COULD we put in place???

I asked a simple question. Is there something wrong with that?
jbalcorn (429 D)

No, you asked a LEADING question with a implied agenda. An example of a simple question, so you understand the difference: "Where did this happen?"
krellin (80 DX)
18 Jun 15 UTC
No, I asked a question. Any "agenda" is implied by you. I'm want to know what Jamie intends with this post. He threw a post up with no comment - I want to know why?

So tell me, smart not, what was the purpose of Jamie's thread since you are so wise?

In response to the first article:

Is that it? Somebody put rainbow colored lights in their garden and somebody else wrote a note saying to knock it off? I agree the person had no right to do so (probably why they did it anonymously rather than complaining face to face). That tells me a lot about that particular Christian anyway.

The "I will not give in to hatred" line seemed a little over the top considering the situation. Both sides seem to have a penchant for melodrama.

@krellin: it made me chuckle. i am going to assume that's what jamiet was hoping to achieve.
krellin (80 DX)

Kasi - your response is noted. Jamie's intent is still not defined. "Made someone chuckle" is generally not the outcome of such a post and you know it. So my question to Jamie stands. I suspect he is to cowardly to answer, or too dishonest.

@krellin: i am going to be totally honest with you - no, i don't know what jamiet's intent could have been. care to enlighten me?

Cool it Krellin, I like to hear about idiots. I will be voting too, so that makes it necessary
krellin (80 DX)
18 Jun 15 UTC
Kasi - I don't know. That's why i'm asking. Normally he trolls me rather quickly - so his lack of response to my question is Curious. Equally curious is that I ask a simple question about why Jamie posted this thread, c and by asking a question I have become the target of attack by the usual suspects (not surprisingly, these are the same attack dogs that complain about how hostile the forums are...)
kasimax (243 D)
18 Jun 15 UTC
if you don't know is intent, why do you so quickly dismiss that it was just posted to give us a chuckle. after all, that was his comment in the op ("This caused me to lol").
krellin (80 DX)

Because Jamie is a bomb-thrower, we all know that. I am too. He trolls and attacks people etc etc etc. Don't play naive and pretend this wasn't a post made *specifically* because it was a epic that had the potential to devolve into bash this group or bash that group.

I actually live in a neighborhood where the neighborhood association CAN dictate decorations, color of paint, etc and can fine you for violating rules. (Frankly, I hate it and or possess me off....). So the idea that there is possibly more to the story here is possible. Maybe not. But that discussion is MOST LIKELY nor why Jamie posted it. Jamie is a bomb thrower and likes to try to mock groups he disagree with. As do I at times. Difference is *I have the balls to admit it* Jamie is a girls coward of a bomb thrower in sheep's clothing.

So I want

Yes and yes. I loved jamaica, but the worst thing about it is the rampant homophobia

Jamiet99uk (808 D)

@ Krellin: I'm touched that you're so interested in my mind that you're prepared to post 7 times in 4 hours to ask me about my motives.

I actually made my motives clear in the OP. I found this story very amusing, and I thought it might also amuse some of my WebDip buddies, so I shared it. Question = answered.
krellin (80 DX)
18 Jun 15 UTC
Jamie --- no, your motives were NOT clear. I didn't think they were clear. Not did anyone else that read your post, assclown.

Soooo....be a brave little twat...and tell us the reason you choose THIS particular story to amuse us.

Once again...Jamie demonstrates himself to be a disingenuous piece of shit. Piece of shit...huh....that's funny....as Jamie is well acquainted with shit...
krellin (80 DX)
18 Jun 15 UTC
Kasi baby...so what do you think of the noble Jamie's lame comment? Lying piece of shit? Or just a mindless twat who randomly posts shit with no ulterior motive?
Jamiet99uk (808 D)
18 Jun 15 UTC
Don't you think the story is quite funny?

If not, what is your motive for not finding it funny?
Jamiet99uk (808 D)
18 Jun 15 UTC
FWIW, I refuse to have someone who openly posts controversial statements and then follows up with "DANCE, MONKEYS", tell me what I can and cannot post.

Fuck you, Krellin.
krellin (80 DX)
18 Jun 15 UTC
Awwwww....Jamie........what's the matter boy? Undies in a bunch? (or soaked with whatever??) Why the hostility, boy?

I ask a simple question and you need to go all Attack Dog on me?

Funny....becuase I *thought* that you were a Noble Sort of Character who didn't like such behavior in the threads.

Huh....seems you must be just another hypocrite.

Pooooor wittle Jamie...
Jamiet99uk (808 D)
18 Jun 15 UTC
I answered your question. I asked you a simple question which you chose not to answer.

Can you honestly say that you have answered every simple question I have asked you? You can't, because there are questions you have ducked, dodged and ignored, even in the past few days.

But then, who should be surprised? You have previously declared yourself a troll, so this is simply the behaviour we should expect.
krellin (80 DX)
18 Jun 15 UTC
JAmie JAmie JAmie! LIAR SUPREME. No...you did NOT answer my follow up question.

Here...THIS can amuse my fellow forum participants, too:

How do you call a fish with no eyes?

Fshhhhhh.....

Jamiet99uk (808 D)
18 Jun 15 UTC
@ Krellin: "you did NOT answer my follow up question"

Please re-state that question. You made a lot of pointless noise and I must have missed it.

Twat.
