What was your Diplomacy experience before Webdiplomacy?
For some people this is where it all started. For others, they had been playing face to face or on other websites, or even here on an earlier account.

It takes new players, a pretty big shot of luck, a touch of skill, and a PPSC match, and 2 players who give up, and 1 player who quit before it started..

Did I mention I suck as Austria??

Could somebody please explain why FTL neutrinos imply time travel?
I'm just watching "Faster than the Speed of Light" on the BBC with Prof Marcus du Sautoy and they said this (and break cause and effect), but they glossed over the how. I don't get it. How is FTL travel going to break cause and effect let alone time travel?

This Map Needs More People
As always, here are the guidelines:
In the name section, put your full WedDip name.
In the message section, put the name of the closest City, State.
In the URL section, put the full link of your webDip profile.

Reboot! Thanks Sargmacher for reminding me. I'll try to keep it unlocked this time.
I have moved since I put my first marker down.In fact, I have threeon there in different places now. I can't seem to delete my old ones.
Draugnar (0 DX)

I've moved too. How do you want thos ehandled, Geofram?
Geofram (130 D(B))
10 Oct 11 UTC
The markers can't be moved, so I'll just delete them and you can remake. In Lando's case, hopefully I just remove the first one.

@Draug, you're good to recreate.
@Lando, I kept Listowel, that's the correct one right?
@JesusPetry, your aim sucks, if you fix it, I'll delete the middle-of-the-sea one.

I don't need to find out who's doing it. I just need that person to understand that they're only creating more work for me and causing a nuisance on a fun community project. This happened a couple months ago, someone kept putting mapleleaf in the ocean and Santa in Antarctica (which is silly because everyone know's he's North Pole).

Understand that this is separate from webdiplomacy.net. Until yesterday it wasn't maintained by webDip staff. I donated to mapservices.org to unlock a few features for our map and so that I'd have an easier control of its database. I am happy to continue doing so as long as people respect what this map represents for webDip. It's all about the community!
Draugnar (0 DX)
10 Oct 11 UTC
@D33 - It's a third part map service. We can't get that kind of info from them.
Diplomat33 (243 D(B))

Then dont use it! Make your own!
Draugnar (0 DX)

@D33 - Are you a developer? Do you know how many man years went into developing that tool? That took a team of developers the course of months to design, develop, and debug. Probably half a man decade or more was needed to create that tool.
There we are. I didn't place my marker on my house for obvious reasons, but I did get to the closest landmark.
Draugnar (0 DX)
10 Oct 11 UTC
I did. If someone wants to come and find me, let 'em. I have this divit out back that needs filling in and a body will do the trick nicely. ;-)

@Draug, it was more like one guy named Harvel with buddies that offered to help here and then. Just like webDip. Mostly community driven over 6ish years with a good 2 years of dormancy.

I put my marker in the middle of campus, about one mile from my house. Though its really not hard to find me in this town. I've been here way too long.
Geofram (130 D(B))

Only 9.8% of webDip's active users are on the map. This is unacceptable.
