I didn't mind the errors...it was sort of odd in such a now-instantly-classic game there were a total of 5--I can't think of another "classic" with *that* many--but as SC says, likely nerves...
And it wasn't a pretty game at all, it was just a pure slugfest...and damn exciting, which is saying something when the game was 4 1/2 hours long...I can't honestly say there was a long stretch where I was bored, says something about how tense and exciting the game really was.
As for Cruz...
It WAS catchable--at first I was thinking "Oh, no, he's going to catch it!" because I jsut hate Texas, want them to lose, even if it means a Cardinals win, and THIS Cards team has heart, I can root for that, if not the Redbird logo--but not a given by any means.
On the run, catching up to it, at the wall...
It WAS a catchable ball, but not at all Bill Buckner-territory (though, hey, THAT made for a great Game 6 too, right, Mets fans?) :D
