Just curious.

I was able to use a Blackberry before I got an Android. The default browser didn't do the javascript so I downloaded and used Bolt. Someone else talked about using Opera I think? So yeah, it works, you just need to get a different browser that does javascript. Assuming Blackberry hasn't fixed that already.

Because BB are awful and RIM is dead in the water.

It's a pretty simple site, there's no reason it shouldn't.

Haha.

I have a blackberry and it works. Although it only started working about 4 or 5 months ago. Previous versions didn't support it.
Diplomat33 (243 D(B))

Yep, OS 7 is the new software that does.

ABG you are wrong. I love blackberry like I do windows.

D33

I am painfully aware of your merit-less consumer electronic zealotry.

@Abgemacht - You're dismissive attitude not withstanding, RIM is hardly dead and I'm so frustrated with this androids that rebooted without warning and locks up so that I am about to go back to me BB.
abgemacht (1076 D(G))

I believe my attidute is justified.

D33 habitually declares a company the best at all products, without justification. He lacks the most basic understanding of technological devices and pretends otherwise and refuses to listen to people's advice.

If you're a business person, I can understand the use for a BB. Other than that I don't see why would want one. App selection is terrible, the devices look like they're from 1995.

Also, I've never had my Android lock up on me.

Which android do you use? I like android too but slightly less.

HTC Aria

I want the Galaxy Nexus, but I can't justify the cost.

I've had a droid for four months, it has not rebooted on its own once in that time so far as I can tell. I'm quite happy with it, I just wish I could connect to multiple Exchange mailboxes like Outlook 2010 does.
I'm generally happy with my Blackberry, except for recent service outages. I do enough lengthy email typing via smartphone where accuracy matters that a touch-screen won't do it for me. I'm considering switching to an iPhone with bluetooth keyboard at some point down the road.

This site works fine for me via Blackberry now.

I was just listening to a radio segment on the issue of RIM struggling in the US market this morning. RIM is getting its ass kicked in the US by iPhone and Android. However, it is still huge in Canada and other parts of the world. The radio segment focused on RIM's failure at marketing in the US -- the problem is not so much a comparative shortcoming in technology or functions, but more in perception and buzz. People think the iPhone and Android are much better, so they sell better. RIM may be so far behind that it is too late in the US.

1) Please join me in congratulating FK on his promotion to Admin
2) I have drafted a set of guidelines containing every possible scenario I could think of. It is being reviewed by the rest of the mod team now. Although Mods will still have autonomy, it will serve as an official reference for us, so we can do a better job at making consistent decisions.

Face-to-face Diplomacy in NYC
The website told me to write a four-line summary because my post was too big  I'm organizing a Face-to-Face game in New York City, with the hopes to eventually create a "proper" F2F community! Pitch follows.

I want to host a game at my home with my friends, showing webdiplomacy map on TV screen and using it as move validator. Is there a way to enter orders for all of my friends, using only one user? Some sort of 'game super-user'?

Ron Paul is officially an idiot...
I just watched him tell Jay Leno he is against seatbelt laws. His argument that people have a right to do with their own body is all fine and good, but seatlbelts keep the driver behind the wheel and in better copntrol of their car, therbye protecting the lives of others. He has just proven he is an idiot that can't be put in power.

Everyone's Holiday Reading? (Suggestions?)
Well, it's the Holidays--sorry, it's "CHRISTMAS TIME," for all those "War on Christmas" folks--and I know we have a lot of avid readers on the site...and I just finished the two novels I had left over from my semester's worth of free reading ("The Brothers Karamazov," which was decent but 200 pages too long, and "Tess of the D'urbervilles," which was good, if not a tad anti-climactic) and I was wondering--what's everyone reading? Suggestions?
