I appreciate the apology, but I do hope the forum rules are carried out and respected as we want to have a welcoming and open community.

Appreciate or accept? those are two different things old friend. If you "appreciate" an apology but hope forum rules are carried out it sort of sounds rather empty. Like you are gunning for his head but "appreciate" him apologizing.

Either you want him punished - which is probably not a majority rule decision anyway - or you dont because you appreciate his apology and want him to remain here as a member.

I certainly hope political beliefs do not influence who you think should and should not be banned. I would love to see krellin back for example. Hes basically a mindless clown when it came to politics but he always made me smile.

It's not my place to accept or reject as that's for the people in the thread hurt by these actions. As part of the broader community who wants an open and welcoming place I appreciate it.

I dont know if Yanik or Ogion are exactly warm and welcoming. Lol. Just happens in this case Ogion was about as bad as you can get. Been there - done that.

Some people have been banned for having a bad day. Krellin was banned because he was high on painkillers and drunk afyer his foot surgery and started yelling at the mods.

Many people say krellin deserved it. Many may say Ogion deserves banning.

Keep in mind as I say this - I like Ogion and I believe his apology to be sincere.

That being said if all it takes to be forgiven or exonerated is an apology - why wasnt krellin allowed time to sober up from alcohol and pain meds from his surgery - and offer an apology for his erratic behavior.

Yanik has his many many MANY problems but it never seemed to me like he crossed the line.

I know nothing of the specific details of your offence Ogion. However the fact that you have publicly acknowledged your mistake, that you haven't tried to deny or been evasive about it, and offered an apology demonstrates genuine regret, and sincere recognition of wrongdoing. We all make mistakes, and I am not going to "cast stones at another sinner". Especially at a repentant sinner.
