Being a Diplomat

I've finally hoarded enough points to achieve the elusive label of "Diplomat" on my profile again. For some reason though, I'm not really all that thrilled with the "upgrade" from the previous rank.

Soloing without building fleets

I'm curious how often powers can solo without building an additional fleet. I'm also wondering which powers could accomplish this feat. From what I can think of, there are only two powers that could accomplish it, Austria and Russia.

Obama tried same thing as Trump and got blocked

Obama repeatedly tried to give tax breaks for companies that "insource' jobs to the U.S. from overseas while eliminating tax deductions for companies that move jobs abroad.

Has anyone else noticed the tremendous uptick in Donald Trump themed game names since he won the US presidential election? What do you think of that? Not seeing that many Justin Trudeau themed games.

Trump to dump Pence after inauguration?

After appointing a Supreme Court justice and a big tax cut, Trump might be replaced by Pence (due to conflict of interest of biz dealings), but what if Trump replaced Pence with a Democrat first? Then Trump is immune from investigation because Pence is no longer there to replace him. Genius?

Comparing to Meme's count I discover 2 things. My "Unvotes" are "non-votes" and second I have forgot to implement the "Unvote" mechanism. How do people do it "##UNVOTE" or "##VOTE unvote" or "##VOTE none" or ...?

This was just a one shot demo. The idea is that when it works better I put this kind of info up on a webserver of mine or something like that, but I could use some feedback.

Yes, that would be an add-on. My program has all info. It downloads every page of the game thread to the local disk so it can reanalyze it over and over again without more than one download.

Nice work.

What would be really cool would be putting all of the votes into a vote tracking spreadsheet with nice color-coding and stuff, though that's probably a bit more work.

The best extension would be popping in a neural network with the goal of either finding scum or mimicking people's posts. A krellinbot would be endlessly entertaining. An NDbot wouldn't show a noticeable difference. A guakbot would still never say anything.

Another feature that would be nice to see, is posts per person per day/per night and then further split it up by posts per person per page.

GM Note: While I appreciate and am rather interested in this technology, due to restrictions on mafia threads on the front page and the addition of information to players from people not currently participating in the game I kindly ask everyone to admire this thread, and let it die. (However, peter, if you want to run this throughout the game and post the results in the God or Spectator QT while the game is going on, you are welcome to do )

I've come up with a great idea to revitalize the site and expand the fanbase.

It's called Webdip The Musical. It would be much more interesting than adding new maps or new features and might also allow people to rant about their political opinions in a way that's easier to ignore. I have contacted the mods and several have agreed to donate glitter.

Another potential idea is mafia the musical.
