Being a Diplomat
I've finally hoarded enough points to achieve the elusive label of "Diplomat" on my profile again. For some reason though, I'm not really all that thrilled with the "upgrade" from the previous rank.

Soloing without building fleets
I'm curious how often powers can solo without building an additional fleet. I'm also wondering which powers could accomplish this feat. From what I can think of, there are only two powers that could accomplish it, Austria and Russia.

Obama tried same thing as Trump and got blocked
Obama repeatedly tried to give tax breaks for companies that "insource' jobs to the U.S. from overseas while eliminating tax deductions for companies that move jobs abroad.

Game naming trends
Has anyone else noticed the tremendous uptick in Donald Trump themed game names since he won the US presidential election? What do you think of that? Not seeing that many Justin Trudeau themed games.

Is poor satire taking over webDip?
I get notifications all day every day about the latest high quality threads mocking something about 2 hours old with no original twist. These are fast times at webdip high indeed.

Trump to dump Pence after inauguration?
After appointing a Supreme Court justice and a big tax cut, Trump might be replaced by Pence (due to conflict of interest of biz dealings), but what if Trump replaced Pence with a Democrat first? Then Trump is immune from investigation because Pence is no longer there to replace him. Genius?

What is you Favorite Movie? Why?
Been getting really back into film lately and was curious what each of your favorite films is and well, why? If you have more than one feel free to give a grouping.
Personally mine is Network (1976). It's a great satire, stick applicable to the media today and has some wonderful monologues like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuBe93FMiJc .

Time Bandits. Absurdism, the metaphysical, history, fantasy, David Warner as the bad guy, Ian Holm, Sean Connery, Michael Palin, John Cleese, midgets, and we can make beans into peas.

I also like Tetsuo: The Iron Man. If crazy Japanese cyberpunk filtered through a David Lynchian lense sounds like something you'd watch I'd recommend it.

My favourite film is Glengarry Glen Ross because the acting is just superb. Alec Baldwin nearly won an Oscar (and should have) and he's only in the film for 7 minutes.

shout out to Time Bandits- can't tell if that was a joke or not
Lord of the Rings is definitely mine, but I'm very biased. Other than that I am partial to animated movies, so I suppose all my suggestions will be discredited immediately.
namely:
Beauty and the Beast
Incredibles

The Fly, David Cronenberg version. Simply the greatest love story ever told, and a most excellent performance from Jeff Goldblum.
Heathers (1989). Super quotable dark comedy.

Ah there are so many great .movies. Reading the posts.. Yes I was most impressed by Glengarry Glen Ross, but felt that "conceptually " it was revisiting themes, subjects from Death of a Salesman.

2001 A space Odyssey & A Clockwork Orange from S Kubrick
Classic Cult Musical.. Rocky Horror Show.
Classic Musicals..
My Fair Lady with the delightfully spankable Audrey Hepburn, Calamity Jane.
Hollywood Classic 60s Rock Hudson Tony Randall, Doris Day comedies..Pillow Talk probably the best
Giant..Rock Hudson, James Dean
Jane Fonda LeeMarvin Nat King Cole.. in Cat Ballou ..comic Western
Jane Fonda 60's sex / space movie Barbarella
from late 50's through to 21st Century.. British comedy.. The Belle's of St Trinian's, Blue Murder St St Trinian's, The Pure Hell of St Trinian's, The great St Trinian's Train Robbery ..70's first in colour & St Trinian's ( 2007 ) with Colin Fifth, Rupert Everett, Lena Bradley, Mischa Barton
British Comedy.. The Ladykillers... Monty Pythons Holy Grail,
Humphrey Bogart & Fabulous Katie.. Title ??? up an African river to sink a German gunboat ww1 thought of that because yes Casablanca is a great film with Bogart.. but for Bogart and comedy.."We're No Angels " Bogart, Peter Ustinov, Aldo Ray.

War... WW 2... Memphis Belle, Battle of Britain, Finding Private Ryan, , not sure Fury with Brad Pitt is a classic but it's much, much better than Inglorious bastards.

I've come up with a great idea to revitalize the site and expand the fanbase.
It's called Webdip The Musical. It would be much more interesting than adding new maps or new features and might also allow people to rant about their political opinions in a way that's easier to ignore. I have contacted the mods and several have agreed to donate glitter.

Another potential idea is mafia the musical.
