Why would you...
Why vote for a draw, and then begin acting out revenge games on the only people able to hold the line against Turkey. In a winner take all you get NOTHING france, NOTHING. If its a personal fued, you should have settled it and not been sittin there hoping for a draw. If you want a draw, play for a draw, if you want to lose and get nothing for the hours you spent playing, then attack the only people with a chance to stop the super power. gameID=87585

THIS Is Awful...Autistic Kid Bullied to Tears By School Staff

I'm sorry, but that's just awful...thankfully one of those involved was fired, but another was just reassigned, and still gets to teach--that's just despicable, treating any kid like that as a teacher's just inexcusable, but what sort of creep bullies an autistic kid to tears like that?

This is one for the ages. I am partially guilty, as I NMR my first turn, but wow everything after. For years everyone had a cancel up, except for Germany, Russia, and Austria. Then France misses a whole year, comes back, then NMRs for years. Russia CDs in 1906, and once Austria gets down to 1 unit he puts up a draw vote. So we are down to Turkey, Germany, and Italy. And Germany won't draw.

I teach History for a High School. We play this game on the old board games. I know you get banned for multi accounts, but if you use the accounts for School purpose for only school purpose. Each team will have there own personal group, but will be run by me as the teacher. The computer is much faster to work then using paper.

Hi - i need to get out of the game I'm playing. I doubt that I'll be able to re-join anytime soon so I'm looking for someone to take over to completion. Star Wars
I'm planning on watching the star wars saga, but i don't now where to start from. I've watched bits and pieces of some episodes, but never a whole movie. And i do know that Darth Vader is the father of Luke or something like that
dipplayer2004 (1110 D)
27 Apr 12 UTC
Only watch the Original Trilogy. The Prequels were crap.
diplomacyguy18 (100 D)
27 Apr 12 UTC
True the original movies we're the best but to get the whole story, start at episode one. I wish that Lucas would have started there.
Draugnar (0 DX)
27 Apr 12 UTC
No! Start with the originals then the prequels. There are still some surprises in Jedi that won't be a surprise if you watch the prequels first.
redhouse1938 (429 D)
27 Apr 12 UTC
I'd go with the advice to watch the prequels before the sequels. 4-6 are much better and you should save the best for last.
orathaic (1009 D(B))
27 Apr 12 UTC
No, luke skywalker is anikan skywalkers father. Watch a new hope them the phanthom menace then the empire strikes back and return of the jedi, the back to attck of the clones and finish up with revenge of the sith.

krellin (80 DX)
27 Apr 12 UTC
I disagree that the prequels were crap. OK...the acting...Jar Jar Binks...a fw other things blew chunks....but the overall story is good, how the Emperor manipulates things.

I'd love to see JJ Abrams redo Star Wars...

redhouse1938 (429 D)
27 Apr 12 UTC
I'd love to play the Emperor in a diplogame once. "Soon I will have a new ally, one far younger and more powerful."
I also think Yoda could make a good character, but he'd screw up my orders. "To Paris, A Burgundy you will take". And that's where I submit Par-Bur :-(
santosh (335 D)
27 Apr 12 UTC
You'd first create a clone army posing as a force to defend you and your allies from the enemy, then when in position for a stab, you'd issue Order 66.
orathaic (1009 D(B))
27 Apr 12 UTC
Oh, and you HAVE to watch space balls after a new hope. No matter what order you watch anything else in.
Draugnar (0 DX)
27 Apr 12 UTC
Seriously, some of the surprises involving Luke's family (trying not to result in spoilers here) would be ruined and there would be way too many *eeeeeewwwwwww* moments in Episode IV if you knew too much. Watch them in the order presented and then go back and conclude with watching episodes 4-6 again. So watch 4-6, then 1-6 (not a typo, rewatch 4-6 after 1-3). You'll thank me later.
Hannibal1 (0 DX)
27 Apr 12 UTC
Well most of you think i should start off with A New Hope, so i'll do that. and sorry people, i don't understand most of these Star Wars refrences ):
Draugnar (0 DX)
27 Apr 12 UTC
Actually, Spaceballs came out after Jedi, so you should watch it as a comic relief between the two trilogies. And Hannibal, Spaceballs is a Mel Brooks comedy that skewers all things SciFi but especially Star Wars. So it's not required, but should get in there somewhere once you have some familiarity with at least the original trilogy.
DV is Luke's father?! OMG, when did they do that? That's horrible.

I always hoped that Boba Fett would secretly be Luke's big brother watching out for him, like Racer X for Speed Racer.
Tru Ninja (1016 D(S))
27 Apr 12 UTC
I also recommend watching the older ones firse and then moving to the clone wars ones. You get a deeper appreciation for Lucas' original works that way. Thats the way we first saw the movies. I didnt get to see the originals in theater but i saw them when they hit TV.
Hannibal1 (0 DX)
27 Apr 12 UTC
Argh to many star wars refrences, just let me watch in peace! Didn't Lucas prefer that you watch them in order of episodes? Since most of you had to watch them in chronological order, i'll just do the same thing. I'm new to the whole sci-fi scene, and some of my friends at school were suprised that i hadn't watched them.
Draugnar (0 DX)
27 Apr 12 UTC
I've seen every Star Wars movie on opening day at the theaters. No, I'm not afraid to admit I'm an old geezer who remembers much of the 70s (although not all).
Riphen (198 D)
27 Apr 12 UTC
Just watch LoTR and save yourself the trouble of watching a bad Sci-fi film.

And yes krellin I would also like to see JJ abrams redo star wars. Lucas is garbage. Always has been. Cant convince me otherwise.
Riphen (198 D)
27 Apr 12 UTC
Star wars is a unique universe and that is one thing Lucas has got right. But the movies and all the lame spin-offs(video games - cartoon shows) were never done very well.

Of course I never watched it back when they first came out. So its not the same feel. I did watch the original three first before the prequels, and thought they were okay. Prequels were a waste.
abgemacht (1076 D(G))
27 Apr 12 UTC
It is my opinion that you should always watch/read things in the order they were made/written. If the author was worth his salt, he made them in the proper order; if not, they aren't worth watching.

SW is no different. Watch the Original 3. Not because the New 3 were shit (they were), rather that is the order they were meant to be told. The Original 3 are the meat of the story. The Prequels are merely that; more story to give background to a story you already know.

With that being said, feel free to not even watch the New 3; they were a train wreck.
iMurk789 (100 D)
27 Apr 12 UTC
You can watch either saga first, and you won't be lost or confused. Clearly, as the first 3 are the first in chronological order, and millions of fans watched the original trilogy first and then the prequel trilogy in theaters.

Draugnar (0 DX)
27 Apr 12 UTC
@Riphen - You should try SW:The Old Republic. Best MMO since WoW. In fact SWTOR, Star Trek Online and WoW are the holy trilogy of MMOs right now, AFAIK.
Riphen (198 D)
27 Apr 12 UTC
MMO's are not fun to me. I have seen The Old Republic footage and gameplay and it just doesn't intrigue me .
Draugnar (0 DX)
27 Apr 12 UTC
Just because you don't like MMOs, doesn't mean that TOR is a "lame spin-off" or "(not) done very well".
Riphen (198 D)
27 Apr 12 UTC
Yes it does. It is my opinion.

Besides I do like the Force Unleashed. So I guess not all games are bad.
semck83 (229 D(B))
27 Apr 12 UTC
Well done, abge.
Draugnar (0 DX)
27 Apr 12 UTC
@Riphen - Call 'em lame. Fine. That is an opinion. But if you don't like something as a genre, then you can't properly judge whether it is well done or not. I hate Country Music, so for all I know Achey Breaky Heart and Coal Miner's Daughter are equally well done (I doubt it), but I still hate ABH and can barley tolerate Tammy Wynette. If I took your approach, I would declare all country music "not very well done" and I know better than that. It isn't to my taste, but to those who enjoy the genre, they can judge whether or not a song is well done. Similarly, to those who enjoy MMOs (like me) they can judge whether and MMO is well done. SW is very well done as an MMO this time around. Galaxies? Not so well done. In fact not even so so done. It pretty much sucked the life out of Star Wars and almost killed the video game franchise.

So, no, you can't jusge it's "well done"ness if you don't like the genre to begin with as you have no basis to judge whether *any* MMO is well done becausre you don't like them.
dipplayer2004 (1110 D)
27 Apr 12 UTC
If you are going to watch all six, I recommend starting with ANH, then ESB, then watch the Prequels, and then watch ROTJ.
Draugnar (0 DX)
27 Apr 12 UTC
But then the family tree revelations in Return of the Jedi are blown by the ending of Revenge of the Sith. No, seriously watch them in order. And you must get it done before next Friday. Or better yet watch them as a marathon next Friday.

"Why next Friday?" you may ask... Next Friday is Star Wars Day. What is Star Wars Day? why May 4 is *always* Star Wars Day. Look it up (i.e. Google it).

May the fourth be with you. :-)
ulytau (541 D)

Ad Unique universe: Yes, it is unique, but rather childish. That's not necessarily a bad thing but I preffer mythologies that go further than to "these are good guys, these are bad guys, have fun".

27 Apr 12 UTC
Here's the argument for my proposed order :

butterhead (90 D)
27 Apr 12 UTC
Watch IV V VI first! then watch I II and III. IMHO they are all good(with some trouble spots with I II and III) but you have to watch the originals first(IV V VI) or you wont get the full effect of the series! as others have said, I II and III are just a little extra meat in an already very juicy steak of a great series of movies!
@Krellin- DON'T EVER INSULT JAR JAR!!! haha. I loved him, he was so funny :P
Draugnar (0 DX)
27 Apr 12 UTC
Well, if you are going that route, do the Machete version and eliminate Episode I altogether, or just play it "for fun" after all is said and done. I actually like the Machete order (IV, V, II, III, VI) afterreading that.
Draugnar (0 DX)
27 Apr 12 UTC
Sorry, butter, but my favorite version has Jar Jar run over by a droid hovertank and eliminated from the series entirely. In my mind, they happen to stumble upon Theed after Jar Jar gets killed.
Draugnar (0 DX)
27 Apr 12 UTC
But with Machete order, there is so little of Jar Jar, one marvels at the greatness of the story.
dipplayer2004 (1110 D)
27 Apr 12 UTC
Glad you liked, Draugnar
butterhead (90 D)
27 Apr 12 UTC
I must say Machete does seem very interesting(TPM was my least favorite of the series) and worth a shot. I like TPM, so I would never cut it completely out, but I can see it as just an extra thing to watch after all is said and done.
Riphen (198 D)
27 Apr 12 UTC
TPM was the best of the prequels I think and it all ways get shafted because of the crappy way ATOTC started. Here is what George Lucas probably thought "Ohh Anakian as a child...that is a great idea.....Yea for the second movie lets just skip his whole jedi sheet and never watch him grow up making the whole first movie pointless in the series."
Mafialligator (239 D)
27 Apr 12 UTC
Machete order does seem interesting it seems to have a bit in it's favour. That said, his reason for rejecting release order is a really stupid reason. You could just find a version of ROTJ that has the original guy standing with Obi Wan and Yoda. Or just stop worrying about it. I think Machete order is an interesting idea, but I still don't see anything wrong with release order other than that it puts the two strongest films at the beginning, after which the rest of the movies are downhill from there. III is decent enough if you can suffer through I and II, but VI is still the stronger ending to the series dramatically.

I dunno though. I'd still say watch them in release order, because no offense Star Wars fans, but the main point of watching Star Wars is to develop the cultural literacy that comes along with being familiar with an important pop cultural touchstone, not necessarily watching something good...
obiwanobiwan (248 D)

I've struggled with the order too. I don't like Episode order. But release order ending on III doesn't work for me because I immediately want to see what happens after which I've already watched. Machete order looks very promising. Thanks for the link dipplayer2004!

'then moving to the clone wars ones.' - actually yes, watch the clone wars cartoon series in place of whatever crappy episode 2/3 place they fit.

I think the series finishes where episode 3 picks up.

but only the first animated series, not the second crappy 3 D one. Never watch that.
