Sbyvl, man, you don't have to take a class or anything, but at least click through a few Wikipedia articles about the terminology you're using. America is not socialist. There is a lot wrong with American society and government, and some of it bears similarities to the problems of socialist governance, but America is not even halfway to Third Way politics, which is not halfway to socialism.

We have essentially trashed our constitution for the last century. Entitlements and subsidies are everywhere, welfare bums run rampant, we look to Europe for advice, we just passed universal healthcare, the government is seizing our emails, and we have a Marxist in the White House. Face it, America is socialist.
