Yeah... that doesn't exactly look like an ideal position to me, although I can see why you (as Turkey) wouldn't want to see France get the easy win by yanking three SCs fairly easily.

It's tempting, but tailboarder, how do I know you wouldn't just crush me and refuse to consider negotiaions of any sort if I took over?

I think I am going to wait it out and try to play just one game at a time till I can get into the higher level games where there are supposedly fewer CDs...

@Draunar- you know I can not say anything about that one way or another here. That would be meta and I am not going to cheat. I hope I have built up at least that much of a reputation in my short time here. I have made mistakes yes but I have also learned from some of them.

I didn't even expect this much of a response. I actually expected something like "you can't" which is true and is not metagaming because noone can know that for certain. Oh, and it wouldn't be meta gaming because it is a public negotiation to get me to join a game based not on what will happen in the game, but just that you'll hear me out before crushing me. There would be no promise of alliance, just that you'd not refuse to consider my words. Hardly a built in alliance. :-)

I always listen. I do not always agree though. I do not expect others to always agree with me either but I would hope that they at least consider my point of view as I do theirs...

Isn't that the nature and almost definition of Diplomacy anyway???
