Why not allow early PC Games like the original Castle Wolfenstein. I guess if I can't choose that one, I'll go with Tempest on the Atari Jaguar. Favorite Atari 2600 game was Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back where you flew a Snow Speeder and took out AT-ATs.

I enjoy Civilization too. I could never get 3 to work for me. I should prolly try it again. I am sure they have more patches now that it has been out a while.

@spyman- I like the way Civ IV looked and felt. I just had a problem with it crashing after the first few years. That was when vista had just come out and there were a ton of bugs with everything. So I went back to III, because it was at least stable. I just haven't been able to play and can't give an opinion on IV. denis is prolly right though. There were a lot of extras in IV that IMO added to the complexity of the whole game.

Yeah Civ Three is about 50 times better. It's cleaner. It's more reliable. It's more polished.

Civ Three is already amazingly complex without what they added; and it all makes sense. Some of the changes they made to IV were illogical

Civ IV is sooooo much better... culture, religion, coroperations, and great generals!!!!

Civ IV is the ultimate... why would anyone think civ iii is better is beyond me.

there is a game I LOVED on PS2... called Dynasty Tactics II...

I really loved the battle mode, as the tactical decisions were top-notch and just so much fun when you knew what you were doing... anyone else ever play this game?

It's just better I can't stress that enough, since it looks more like a board game just by graphics. You feel more in control throughout.

Civ3 is better... but there is a flaw in it that is fixed in Civ4...

You can win in civ 3 by making thousands of small cities... in Civ4, if you make too many cities too early, your maintenance fees are impossible to control... so if you use the 'many towns' strategy (which is 'gaming the system' if you ask me... a form of cheating), then play civ4. If you don't use that strategy, play civ3.
