That came off a little bit antagonistic to... the entire planet sans the U.S. I played football (soccer) and american football in highschool. I still play soccer recreationally now in college. In my experience, soccer injuries are just as horrific as football ones and soccer is just as physical as football.
When two people run full speed toward a moving ball and try to take it from the other, you can get hurt bad and fall in very awkward ways. That said, you can slam ppl very hard in football, because you have pads unlike rugby, that (i've been told) has different different tackling techniques.
Its okay to talk about American Football, but don't belittle Soccer as a lesser sport. That is just an opinion that is irrelevant to the topic at hand, and likely offensive to someone.
I say American football has more luck for two things. The hail marry pass and the fumble. Those are very luck dependent, but can completely change games.
Of course when people offer you a DMZ on the first turn at Piedmont, Galicia, English Channel, or Black Sea... its kinda chancy to trust them if you've never played with them. *remembers a crushing defeat as turkey over a Black Sea lie...*
