I started a post here on why it's taking longer than I thought, exactly what has been done and what's left to do, and what is left to do to get to 1.0, but it was getting way too long for a forum post so I put up a new page for it:
http://phpdiplomacy.net/updates.php
In a nutshell; sorry but I'll just need some more time to put the finishing touches on what is a massive internal change of phpDip.
This update is such a huge change that I really can't roll it out without a good deal of testing, and like any nieve software developer I underestimated the time it would take to make a few finishing touches.
It won't take a lot longer, but I'd rather just give you a list of what's left and say "It'll be done when it's done", than give another estimate.
I'm also getting hassled via IM about it when I try and give an estimate, as if it's a rock solid deadline that I gave to a client, which is winding me up. The update is taking longer, but it's also a *much larger* update to phpDip's internals than it was when I first said I was starting work on 0.8. When I first started working on 0.8 it was going to be a patch addressing a few issues, but now it's closer to a rewrite than a patch.
Okay, thanks for understanding, I'm looking forward to releasing the update too by the way, it has a lot of much needed changes to this 2 year old code.
