I think all 4 presedential candidates plan to allow states to continue to regulate marijuana laws as they see fit. Clinton, Trump, Johnson and Stein are hands off.

SQ 780 in Oklahoma is really vague, but it would reclassify carrying certain drugs as a misdemeanor instead of a felony.

Its amazing to hear what other states are doing. Nebraska is voting to reinstate the death penalty after aboloshing it 2 years ago. Missouri raising cig taxes for schools
TrPrado (461 D)

Some people in Oklahoma tried that, but it was shot down because taxes.

Right now there's a state question to allow grocery stores and convenience stores to sell hard liquor.

No. And at this point reallowing it would put liquor stores out of business.

No. Ppl will just buy booze at more places. Lol

WA only started allowing hard liquor in stores a couple years ago. I can't even get special brownies at Starbucks yet.

Dabs are great, brain.

In NY most of the grocery stores near where I live have a liquor store right next door for conveniance, so it's not like it's much more effort buying from the liquor store, but they card more harshly, so I guess it's good...

"Lol, watch out, Leon thinks a plant is immoral."

No, I think the action of ingesting it is immoral. Humans are immoral, not objects (same goes for the gun debate).

"Leon dont you believe in states rights?"

Yes. I didn't say the States can't legalize marijuana; I'm saying they shouldn't.

"You think the legalization of marajauna is is going to brake the moral fabric of the country Leon?"

No, I think it's a symptom that the moral fabric is already broken.

"Leon does it morally bother you that gambling and tobacco taxes fund schools and childrens programs or is it only marijuana?"

Gambling and tobacco should likewise be illegal.

I hope all of you know what drugs did to China in the 1800s. By legalizing drugs such as marijuana, the same will happen to the US, except we're letting it happen voluntarily. The stupidity of the American electorate...

Comparing opium and marijuana is a bit of a stretch... Do you similarly believe in the prohibition of alcohol?

Especially when there is a genuine present crisis of opiates *in the US* to use for comparison.

Oh, OK, because that worked so well last time.

You are welcome to support whatever laws you like, I suppose, but I find it terribly ironic that you preach for personal freedoms, but wish to impose your own puritanical standards on others.

But doesnt drinking carbonated sode lead to obesity, diabeties and caffeine addiction? How are those better than cigars or a whiskey on ice?
TrPrado (461 D)

Wait, why R rated movies? The classifications for those sorts of ratings on movies have extremely varied reasons.
brainbomb (290 D)

How is an R rated movie worse than a first person shooter?
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))

Leon, you are aware that soda is dramatically unnatural and induces the effects of caffeine, a drug that otherwise does not exist in the body. Why aren't you against it?
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
21 Oct 16 UTC
In other news, why is Criminal Minds so fucked up? We should ban it. There's no way that showing footage of someone drilling into a woman's eyes is less likely to destroy the moral fabric of America than a plant, right?
brainbomb (290 D)
21 Oct 16 UTC
Why is fried food ever necessary? It is purely bad for the body and has no nutritional value

Question: Is the "Republic vs. Democracy" thing just an American thing?
I've heard Americans talk about how "America is a republic not a democracy". Using the standard definitions of those words it doesn't make any sense, however if you use the ridiculous definitions those people come up with than it is true. Does anyone outside of the US use this ridiculous dichotomy or is it just Americans?

People You Know
So, when it comes to friends and family, one should only play password protected games with them. But what about people I am meeting at face to face games in clubs in my state? What about if I start getting involved in the tournament scene? How do the more experienced players on here handle it? At what point does it become inappropriate to play in public games with people you have met through the game?

Just curious no real reason for asking but I thought mods were suppose to notify you why they locked your threads? I mean how can people learn what they did wrong (if anything) if they don't tell us?

Question
in a recent poll 7% of Americans value the continuity of government by supporting Gary Johnson for president. The other 93%? well they are split between a Guinea pig mounted atop a racist cantaloupe; and a half robot, half human she-devil.
