I propose one day of complete amnesty. Everyone is unbanned and all mods lose their powers for 24 hours.

Are you proposing to resume your mod duties to ban all the multis and such after said amnesty? I'm sure a few will try to stick around.

I was going to propose a FTF tournament at Kestas' house, but then I realised that the site is kind of like that anyway.

I like how Kestas was the 10th person to join the site, AFTER names like Civil Disorder Germany.

An official pardon would be a nice touch to mark the 10th anniversary. Allow the great forum masses to say if there are any banned or permasilensed members they'd like back, and our President and our Supreme Leader can both listen to the pleas and offer a pardon each (or not).

I think amnesty is the best way to celebrate, with some banned users who'd love to come back, even if they have to behave a little. On probation, perhaps. If anyone granted amnesty acts naughty in any way, permaban.

Certainly not my worst review.

Today i look out onto the masses and I see pain, suffering, and hope. Pain in their fingers from hours of press, suffering in their hearts from the loss of long loved brethren, and hope that tomorrow will be a better day. When I look out at my people I see a will to move forward and a desire to progress. We are the people who forged the future of many a people. We hosted the 2012 world cup and are still hosting it today! We introduced live feeding programs, and are soon going to make our community handicap accessible with color blind options! We are a community of progress and a community of ascension.

But there is a fault. Over the years dissent has arisen within our community goblins and trolls who fail to see the progress of our great people and instead choose to protest and spew dangerous rhetoric into our airwaves. We have other communities vying for control of unclaimed resources; and we need to be proactive about these threats. We need a leader. We need a president who stands behind his words and mirrors his words with action. We need a leader who will keep our community safe from threats both domestic and abroad. That is why I am announcing my candidacy for President of webDip.

We need to release viruses on the people who oppose our growth and ensure our supreme over the uncivilized masses. Down with Playdip! Down with Backstabbr! and down with all others who are vying for control of the untapped resources for which our community was pre-destined to harness.

I would like to publically offer bo_sox48 the official position of Vice president should i be elected, and A_Tin_Can the position of Progress Minister.

I want to offer Abgemacht the position of Press Secretary, and Krellin the position of Environmental Protection Head.

And Bolshoi as head of the Secret Police.

I also am interested in creating a quadcameral legislature for our people.

I suggest that we hold a series of bouts in the site's honour. A veritable tournament some could say. Perhaps a hybrid live + Skype / Other Video/Voice Chat game or competition. Or a communal gunboat diplomacy game where every member of the site gets to choose a country and votes on that country's moves with all the others who chose that country with the plurality set of moves being played for that turn. (Sort of like group chess, but bigger. And totally a good new site feature! ™)
