No-one is saying that black folk, women, LGBTQ* people etc can't succeed in life. All anyone has ever said is that the current system makes it harder for them. As a white man, I know I am not better than anyone else on the basis of race, gender etc. I also know that I have a huge amount of privilege making life easier for me, as if I were playing the game of life on almost the lowest difficulty setting. Acknowledging this is important, and is hardly the great racism that you seem intent on portraying it as. Second, why are you so vile? Can't you have a civilized discussion with people, or is this the only way for you to cope with the obvious problems people see in pretty much everything you do?

Third, you're completely avoiding his point. You're claiming that racism no longer exists, or that it's better to just ignore it. Thucy has decided to not give this up as a lost cause for some reason that is far beyond my comprehension and asked you quite simply to find historical precedent for your claims. Alone, the fact that you can't find some precedent doesn't refute your claims, but the fact that such precedent doesn't exist and you're still trying to avoid that by implying that it does while screaming a lot doesn't really do wonders for your argument.

What I have said is that it is not nearly as bad as you make it out to be, that in this country it is *strictly* illegal to enact racist policies in hiring/firing, etc...that we have done everything systemically that we can to eradicate racism, meaning that at this point, racism is an **individaul** problem. I.e. individuals may act racist, and they *should* be caught and punished for it. But the *system* is not racist, by law, by structure. I have also pointed out that a great deal of racism exists and IS CONTINUALLY CREATED by the Liberal Left. It happens by way of ideology (depsite evidence to the contrary, they believe no black person can make it in this country without a white man's help). It's happens by way of marketing, as they seek racism in every corner and always find it, not matter if their is evidence to support it, and then they tell people to be angry, they create racial divides in communities and thereby create the racism they supposedly seek to destroy.

ghug -- Simple question: No matter what you think happened in the Trayvon Martin/zimmerman case, do you think that the street demonstrations by "black leaders" like Al Sharpton - which ended up prompting and inspiring vigilante attacks in cities across the country -- do you think these race-oriented street demosntrations and constant beating of the racism mantra in the media HELPED or HURT national race relations.
