Note that I have not provided links to any games, I'm just speaking hypothetically.

The players will be banned, but the result of the game will stand.

Maybe a mod is on and will force pause the game then interrogate the suspects and interview the witnesses.

At the very least, they'll conduct an investigation. If the game was seriously affected, it could be cancelled, even if already completed. That's happened before.

I'm sorry, but how is it metagaming when you forge an alliance with people who happen to be next to you in the game and it makes sense to ally with them? I think this is a case of a player recognizing that he's going to lose and using every opportunity to get out of it. I even offered him a draw after the defeat of Texas. Oh well, guess poor losers will always be poor losers.

What about all the other games where the players have played together? I'm not saying they were metagaming in those others, but they seem to play a LOT together.

I don't want to discuss the game but I do want to know, huzzy. Did you tell nnfolz or thee that they were sitting next to you in a room and that you wouldn't stab them for that reason? Be careful how you answer because the mods can and do look at in game messages during their investigations and a lie will come out.

@huzy, you can't join with friends to dominate a game. That's just weak. Play with only friends in a private game, or don't play with eachother. To join a game with a predetermined alliance of 4 is not in the spirit of the game. Any 4 worthless players can dominate even the top players with a predefined alliance. That doesn't make you good ... It makes you cheaters ... So don't do that.

Just re read the rules and found a rule against discussing ongoing gunboat games. Didn't see the rule that says it applies to all games. Can someone please tell me where to find it?

At that time, there were only 5 people left in the game. You and 4 others. The game was not anonymous, so we all could see their names. You accused them of cheating on the forum. Don't try to bs your way out of it. And it does not matter wether or not they actually were cheating. You cannot break a rule because they broke a rule. This ain't an eye for an eye kind of place.
