Also @ "semck, there has been countless times we have told people that if you want something setup a certain way, make it private, put it on the forum, and when people ask for the pass and play the game, they are agreeing to follow your rules. That's how we mod. If you'd like me to formally put in a rule that states that, I'll be happy to do so."
I believe the rules are clear, 1)use common sense, 2) help the mods/admins keep the server fun.
This covers a lot more than any specific rule can. And i think the rules are better if they are kept short, concise and to the point.
People do not read privacy policies or end-user license agreements. We are better off without long complicated and easily ignored rules. (i fear the scale of the community means that these 'cultural' understandings of the rules take more time to spread out and reach new players and differences of opinion regarding how they should be implemented might be fostered, but we have discussion to help avoid such problems)
