S1901: i attempted to convince france to bounce burgundy, in the hopes that he would violate the rules and make for a more interesting game.

However when this was discussed publicly the majority seemed to favour an interpretation of the rules whereby bouncing, even self-bouncing counted as movement.
My plans dashed I had only the draw/pause vote to argue over.

I convinced Austria to declare his allegiance to me, in the hopes of scaring opponents into similar declarations and for the enjoyment of seeing what would entail... they didn't seem to care nor were any of the other players willing to indulge in such vociferous exchanges as might be possible/interesting. (thanks to Austria for being awesome and France for voting to draw, i did think that added some spice to the game)

F1901: France moved his units!!! huge amount of discussion from the other players, all terribly upset at the ruining of the game, except those who thought it would have been very boring if nobody had broken the rules... attempt to pacify france merely by talking him down failed, and were not helped by calls to cancel/draw the game.

Those who quitters who felt so threatened by the french movement ruined the game for me.

S1902 - England has now moved (in the previous phase), this is excellent, France didn't take opportunity to build, leaving the possibility of continued pacifism (no french builds means we might yet avoid war)

However the anti-cheater, mod intervention and unwillingness of players to continue playing still ruins this game. It is clear to me now that it will go nowhere despite France's excellent attempt to persuade the rest of the board otherwise.

Mod intervention is correct, especially when the players have called for a cancel/draw and no longer want to play. How and Ever, a game which was essentially about words and convincing others of your point of view until some concensus would have been better if no Mods had been called in.

No, stronger than that, If there had never been the possibility of Mod intervention then we would have been forced to negotiate our way out (whether to a draw/cancel) and this might have made a more interesting and fun game.

At this point, with those who refuse to contemplate playing on - the quitter - having left no other option, I am forced to concede the game is over and I might aswell move my units.
