Anonymous players games vs not
I'm playing in a game where there has been a discussion in global surrounding the issue of players having played in the same games before. Without mentioning player names and game ID am I safe to start a discussion about this issue here in the forum or should I wait until the game in question is over?

Finding a specific gaming laptop in the Netherlands(/Europe)
Hey guys, I'm looking for a gaming laptop (with some help I came to the conclusion that the ASUS ROG G751JT-CH71 might be the best option, although I'm also still considering the cheaper ASUS ROG GL551JW-DS71). However, I can't really find it in Europe, or elsewhere without paying over $350 in shipping costs. So now I'm wondering if I missed something and/or there are alternative laptops that will work just as well and don't need to be shipped in for a shitload of money.

Emulator
Do you know a good emulator for Diplomacy. I am not talking about a game you play offline with your friends in your living room but more like a game where you can set all the armies and fleets on the map then you start a game. I'm doing some "what will you do in that situation?" questions for my brother.

Thucy- I mean I agree more than 50% of prisoners do not belong and prison and hopefully that would change first, But our prisons are far from hellish.... have you ever been?

Maybe feed the kids and soldiers better then, rather than feeding prisoners worse.

I mean is community college a basic human right? because if so why isn't the government giving me mine free? If a GED is a basic human right then I demand my grandfather be reimbursed. If TV is a basic human right than my state should be paying for my cable bill.... not everything is a basic human right. Medical care... yes, but even that isn't free for a non-prisoner so where are you going with this? Food.... yes, but as I already stated we feed our students less and to a lower standard per meal; we feed our soldiers less in combat than a prisoner; meanwhile thousands of families struggle to put food on the table working below the poverty line while prisoners eat 3 meals a day and cost the state between double and quadruple the federal poverty line.....
JamesYanik (548 D)

Alright we're getting too liberal with the word 'basic human rights'

Here is something that Jesus said:

"You have heard the law that says the punishment must match the injury: ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say, do not resist an evil person! If someone slaps you on the right cheek, offer the other cheek also. If you are sued in court and your shirt is taken from you, give your coat, too. If a soldier demands that you carry his gear for a mile, carry it two miles. Give to those who ask, and don’t turn away from those who want to borrow.

"You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect

All I am saying is this "boston bomber" should either be executed OR (and I prefer the OR) be imprisoned for life being fed the minimum human caloric intake and vitamin necessities, with no outside contact except letters being written to him, and absolutely no luxury such as free education, a library, and television.

Food and healthcare and life? This is too liberal for you? God damn dude, these things are foundational human rights. They're as basic as you get.
Thucydides (864 D(B))

With no human contact (solitary) you lose your mind. Look it up. It's torture. Unacceptable.

CommanderByron (801 D(S))

Thucy- I agree about the human rights, but I never said starve people and make them die of disease. I said feed prisoners the minimum necessity and remove luxury. I agree medicine is a need and we wouldnt want these scum bags to die before their sentence was up so we have to keep them alive, but they should work off everything they do. If they require a 11,000$ surgery then they should have to work cleaning roads and building until they make up the 11,000$... if they cant physically work, then they can work as assembly line employees and put together toys for children.... just saying giving prisoners more than we guarantee our other citizens is just wrong.

CommanderByron (801 D(S))

you cant say we already feed prisoners the minimum because we don't.... we feed soldiers above the minimum and they even eat less than prisoners.
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
07 May 15 UTC
For once I agree with James... about the community college..apparently Thucy wants everyone to have everything with no regard for what that would do to the economy...oh I am sorry, he doesnt want everyone to have it just the boston bomber, the una-bomber, Bundy, Dahmer, and every other massive killer to exist.
Thucydides (864 D(B))

Again, maybe we should improve the lot of our ordinary citizens then - rather than degrading the conditions of our incarcerated citizens on purpose.

To repeat - intentionally causing suffering to an evil person is itself evil. Pubishment for the sake of revenge is morally dead. The only defensible pubishment is one that rehabilitates or restrains without causing harm.

Causing someone to suffer on purpose is as much a crime as what we ostensibly punish them for. Don't confuse tradition and legality with morality.

And if you break the rules of society, you don't deserve to be a part of it.

In Frank G. Abagnale's 'Catch Me If You Can' he was imprisoned in France, and the conditions were cruel, no light, shitty food, no bed, abuse from the guards:

and he admitted it he was worthy of it! he did not murder anyone, yet he realized that such severe punishments were justified, for his misdeeds.

All in all, murder is so terrible, death is deserved

Killing a murderer in a premeditated way is still murder.

*sarcasm* hey everyone! I have an idea, lets make every student who never committed a crime struggle to get through even 2 years of community college while we provide 4 years of community college to every prisoner....*sarcasm ends* I am starting to think the only way to move up in this world is to fucking murder a bunch of people... then I can be fed, housed, clothed, and educated all at the cost of the impoverished family down the street who cant put 3 square meals on the table for their 3 kids. Seriously, this weekend I am throwing a kill party... everyone meet me at my house and we will go door to door shooting the person who answers clean between the eyes.... it is the best way to make it up in this world.
JamesYanik (548 D)

MURDER MEANS THIS:
the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another.

WE ARE ARGUING THE UNJUST PART, SO STOP TRYING TO PURELY JUSTIFY IT WITH PREMEDITATED
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
07 May 15 UTC
Thucy- I am against execution as much as you... but reality is that we don't have the unlimited funds to provide every single impoverish family 3 square meals a day.. and instead of feeding a prisoner that food we should be using that same money to send kids to college, feed poor families, or create new jobs....
Thucydides (864 D(B))
07 May 15 UTC
Again, we should improve the conditions for the rest of us instead of degrading the conditions of the imprisoned. I spent this evening fretting over the possibility of taking out loans to go to community college. You're righr Byron - it should be free. For me as well as for a prisoner. How you can be against education for anyone is mind boggling. If you deny education to prisoners, then all your belly aching about them being beyond rehabilitation becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

Thucydides (864 D(B))

It also means an immoral killing, which is what an execution is.

"but reality is that we don't have the unlimited funds to provide every single impoverish family 3 square meals a day.."

Lmao yes we do. World poverty could be ended with $175 illion per year. World hunger could be ended for $30 billion per year. So don't give me that horseshit.
JamesYanik (548 D)
07 May 15 UTC
you have made actual argument, you're simply repeating your claim
Thucydides (864 D(B))
07 May 15 UTC
Basically you could end poverty and hunger if you diverted the income of the richest 100 people to that cause.

So instead of forcing prisoners onto death camp rations to feed some poor family, why not feed us all?
