hellalt does that. His diplomatic tact is lacking, especially when he is on the losing side and is trying to convince someone to do something his way. He lashes out, they get pissed, and everyone loses. But hellalt only has himself to blame. Maybe it's the Greek temper. I don't know, but I've been in a game where he lashed out and, rather than trying to show his allies that the three of them could beat me, got himself eliminated. The rest of us then drew the game. He screwed himself in that one and it sounds like he is screwing himself in the one.

Yeah. They do. It's called Winner-Takes-All for a reason. Anyone who helps someone solo in a WTA game is stupid. I don't know if the game was PPSC or not, but if it was, the argument doesn't change. The game is about WINNING. not drawing, not surviving, and not getting defeated.

For every winner, there are six losers. Odds are you're one of them.

Your chances of losing go up if you consider that everyone plays in a WTA fashion, even in WTA games.

That's you approach to playing, rlumley, but not everyone agrees with it. WTA or PPSC, I prefer to form and build alliances and play for the draw until such time as it looks like my allies are going down and the only way to survive is to win at their expense. As long as we are holding our own as an alliance, I will be true to my allies.

I won't give away my strategy because I'd like to think I have none, but I will say that I play this game to enjoy it, not to win it. And if I'm enjoying watching hellalt scream his head off because no one wants to help him against the bully after he was the bully several years ago, then I'm not going to stop the new bully from winning. Especially in a PPSC, but even in a WTA, allying with a winner you don't want to stop can often help your stats regardless.

The live game was a WTA public message only.
The noob helped England get a solo although he was in position to create a 4 way draw just because he didn't like my tone.
He also accused me of stabbing him, when in fact we stabbed each other swapping supply centers in the same exact turn.
He also wanted guarantees for all moves made. Like a paranoid afraid of getting stabbed all the time.
He also mentioned that England offered him hypothetical candy and tea, which helped him make his decision...

Live games are much less about competition and ranking and much more about fun and multi-accounting.
