This is dope. The Gunboat variant is now actually supported, and anonymous games are totally freaking awesome. I can't wait to see how playing anonymously affects the game.

Opening everything from topics, messages, to games takes about 2 minutes to load for me.

I was originally in favor of site-supported anonymous games, but I do wonder if it just makes multi-accounting that much easier to pull off... (I don't know how many are pegged by other users, versus admin monitoring -- if any?)

The anonymous feature is excellent and would be really useful I think during League games where people might team up on the current leader overall. ;)

hi kestas, javascript counting down evey second is very annoying. can it countdown in whichever units were used to display the time?

like, when it says the nextphase is due 200 minutes, i think it should count down in minutes

Once you finish an anonymous game, are the players names then revealed? I think that would be a good way of cutting down on metagaming...

I just tried to create a new game (http://www.webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=13240) with a normal phase length 48 hrs, and a join phase length as long as possible. It said if I had any phase length for joining longer than 72 hrs that the phase length was "Too long".

Also it looks like the phase ticker needs a space between the number of days and the word days.

Yes. There are. Anonymous just means players names are hidden, so that we can't all team up on, for example, Draugnar.

Also: Kestas, I have a problem with the update (Other than the bugs I mentioned). There are now too many features for me to remember to check each time I join a game. It used to be just WTA and phase length and pot size, now I think the number of features has at least doubled. This needs to be fixed. :-P

Onar, yes.

yes, onar... so now if you join a game with a high ranking person, people won't gang up on him/her just because of who they are. Will really hurt those of us that played in tourney's and leagues, because we won't know tendencies of the players if we don't know who they are. I consider this an impressive improvement that will REALLY change the game.

Regarding anonymous games and multi-accounting, that does make it a tougher for a player to diagnose because he or she can't look at the other user's history to see if they have played with any of the other players before.

Is there any way to have an automated system that would check users when a game first starts and flag it for a moderator to review if the automated system thinks something might be fishy? I'm not asking for it tomorrow, just maybe at some point? I guess it depends on how subjective the process is for checking for multi-accounts.

I have the same question as rlumley above: are names revealed at the end of anonymous games? If they aren't, does this mean that they won't be included in Ghostratings, or whill TGM be given access?

Also, can people who have problem spelling simple words like "will" be granted retroactive anonymity?
