Overall, I had an amazing time this weekend; Carnage greatly exceeded my expectations. The venue itself was incredible and offered a lot of activities besides gaming, including skiing (it was a ski resort, after all), spa, and outlet shopping. Carnage itself seemed very cool, although I didn't have that much time to see all that was offered. There were at least 20 games going on at any given time, ranging from Settlers to Magic to LARPing.
The Accords Diplomacy Tournament, where I spend most of my time, was awesome. The tournament was run excellently and I met more experienced Diplomacy players in 3 days than I had previously met in my entire life combined. Everyone was friendly and welcoming to me as a knew player (although that didn't stop them from taking all my centers) and I really liked the feeling of camaraderie and friendship I could tell the players there shared.
