This 'transfer' page already exists, any positions left vacated are already on the 'Open' section of the games page. Most abandoned positions are unlikely to get picked up anyway, since a player is more likely to CD once they start losing. Nobody wants to take over a two center Austria facing a juggernaut or a three center Germany stuck between France and England.

Maybe reward them with a FREE Hot Pocket for finishing what they started? Hot Pocket Points. Redeem 20 HP for your free tasty almost lunch type food.

@2WL: Doesn't the 'Open' section of the games page only give the chance to take over a country which has already CD'd, by which time, as you say, it is way too late and of course nobody wants it.
The 'Transfer' button would allow players to place the option as soon as they decided to leave, before the other countries eat them alive, thus giving a much greater chance that someone would stand in their stead and allowing the game to go on without too much disruption.

CD and you provide free hot pockets for all the other players in the game might work better.

Quitting is already extremely easy to do. All the quitter has to do is not come back to the game. Adding a way to minimize the damage would be a good idea, I think. A concede button in no way makes it "easier" to quit.

Maybe if all the players just listed their individual requirements at the start of the game, then anyone CDing would know just how much it was going to put them back.
EG Spain - bottle of Rioja / England - MacAllan's (actually Scottish) / Russia - well, guess / Italy - a double special pizza with anchovies / Germany - a large inedible sausage and hard brown bread / Turkey - a harem girl and a massage / Austria - a ticket to the opera.

Thanks, AWB. That's my point. However, I think taos' idea of a 'replace' button is way better, though it might be difficult for the MODs to implement.

Maybe hitting the 'concede'/'replace' button could come with a very clearly stated penalty, made known to all.

this site doesnt like quiters,i dont like quiters,nobody does.
is not respectfull for the rest and it ruins games.
you cant really use a punisment element on someone who is not going to stay in the site,or who just doesnt care because he sucks anyway.
my general idea is to be more hard with quiters like in vdip,the percentage of quiting afects your capability of making new games,and if more hard to just kick their ass ou of this site after 10% left games.
why dick heads?points in this site dont give you anything exept join to greater pot games,but if you got there not because of your talent just because you got lucky and abused a cd's game,you will be ruining the game to greater and experienced players than you.so the points become meaningless as a mesure sistem.

Add a modifier, when building games. Cd rate less than 5 or 10. Percent. Then the builder decides if they want to let quitters in their games.

@taos - You suffer from the confussion that mods are programmers. Mods don't write code or make decisions on the direction of the site's code. They just keep things running as smoothly as they can. Kestas makes the decisions of what goes into the code and he and a few others who know PHP write it.
