If I was asked to hand over the password to *anything* in a job interview, I'd assume they were testing to see how easy I could be duped into revealing company secrets, and I'd answer accordingly.

Similarly, if I were an interviewer, I wouldn't hire anybody who was willing to tell a stranger their password to anything remotely sensitive.

Just, I think the matter of facebook containing personal correspondence is also a relevant point. Stealing letters is illegal after all.
