Are they all green, or are some grey?

IAm I allowed to give a game number? It is an ANON game, wont that give me away?

As for the ticks, they are all there. There is one that looks a little more dingy than the other 6, I don't know whether I would call it gray but it looks a bit different. Does that make a difference?

If you'd like you can PM the game number to me and I'll take a look... I am not in any anonymous games right now, so no threat of giving yourself away to anyone. I'm not an expert if it is some sort of weird glitch, but I can at least check and see if you're missing something obvious.

Why would someone do that in a gunboat game? I don't see the point - if you have entered your orders and saved them, there is no diplomacy so why not just say Ready? I cannot see what there is to gain other than annoying the other players. If you want to delay the game, then just don't enter your orders until the last minute - at least you could say you had not had a chance to log on before then. But saving them and not saying Ready seems to be deliberately antagonistic - or perhaps I am over-reacting :)

I have done this before because I had limited access to the computer and did not wish for the game to progress. This may not be his reasoning behind not finalizing orders, but there are reasons for that.

well I'm in a live gunboat where one player constantly does not finalize their orders when the rest of us have it done within the first 2 mins. That is annoying

@ CG: Italy has also voted to pause. He might be not finalizing in the hopes that other players will vote before the end of the phase.

Ah. I am a newbie, my first game. What is this about a pause? I am not familiar with this. Is it covered somewhere in the site rules? I don't want to trouble you guys, so I can go off and read it if it is.

This can lead to unnecessary NMRs. If you only have a few minutes to look at the board now, it is often better to put in some initial orders and save them, and then get back to it later when you have more time. That way if for some reason you end up not getting back to it, then you at least have some moves if not necessary the best moves.

Although, as trip pointed out, it may just be he's trying to draw attention to the pause request.

In any case, this is a gunboat game and we really shouldn't be discussing it.

If everyone votes to Pause the game, then the game will be paused until everyone has voted to unpause the game. The voting buttons are just below the order entry section.

In a gunboat game you have no idea for how long they are needing a pause. Could be just a couple of days, but could be longer. You are not obligated to pause, unless playing a specially arranged game in which it is indicated that everyone agrees to certain length pauses.

I'm not color blind but I never noted that there are different colors on the checks. I assumed its always green. Now I see that grey is also possible.

Yeah, would have been nicer if the grey was a bit more distinct.

For the colorblind, they can mouse-over the check mark and the tooltip text indicates which it is. Or they can use a firefox addon that allows them to change website colors.
